This brewer is perfect for coffee lovers. You want be disappointed with the revile system, you can make all sizes of coffee with this system, from a cup to a pot of coffee.

Carafe lid design is not so good. Need to use Cafiza in order to clean it

I have had my Breville Precision Thermal coffee maker for about a month and I like it fine. The only thing I'm not happy with is it doesn't keep my coffee warm in the 45 minutes it takes to drink 2 cups. I'm guessing this is because I don't make a full pot. Still that was my reason for getting the carafe

Others coffee makers overflow, get filled with minerals from water, and don’t offer any brewing options. We are very happy we spent the extra $$$ this time.

Not a coffee expert, but flavor is top notch (especially when combined with freshly ground beans). Excellent purchase I would strongly recommend for a tasty cup of coffee!

I like the many different options to brew coffee in this machine. Whether you want a single cup, fast, 'gold standard', etc. , this is a great option.

If you want to spend $300 on an overrated coffee maker this is the one. I personally didn’t find anything special about it. It has a lot of bells and whistles if that’s what you are looking for but if you want a coffee maker that when you get up in the morning and not have to think about settings look else where. This coffee maker was not for me.

I love this! It's got loads of options for those who want them, but also great pre-settings. I love the design of the Thermal Carafe!

Great machine. Only 1 complaint is that it doesn’t really keep the coffee warm very long…maybe 1-1.5hrs.

Seriously, I am a coffee enthusiast and start each day in front of my coffee maker. With my upgrade to this Breville, it's a great start to each day. The machine is hugely adjustable, and can make cold brew as easily (though with more time needed) as my morning cup. I use good beans that I grind immediately before brewing, but I have always done that, and the coffee made by this brewer is far richer than any other method that I have ever used. I would recommend this product to everyone. Things to be aware of: This Breville is a bit taller than many other coffee brewers. For me, this means that I can't fit it underneath the cabinets where I had my old coffee machine. The coffee is so good that I make the sacrifice of counter space happily. The water pump has an audible hum and it vibrates. It's not deafening by any stretch, but it is present. There isn't a carafe heater. There is, however, an insulated carafe that has kept my coffee warm for 24 hours. I hate carafe heaters anyway, but potential buyers should know this. Cold brew coffee is delicious, but it takes a long time. Hours. Lots of hours. Be prepared. Seriously, if you are in the market for a new coffee maker, this Breville is fantastic.

I’m a coffee nut and got this for the office. It does fine, not a huge difference in other drip brewers.

We moved up from a Mr. Coffee (excellent for the money) to the more expensive Breville, and feel it is money well spent.

Was really looking forward to a great cup of coffee, unfortunately I never got any coffee because it wouldn’t even boil water. Machine kept saying “Fill Tank” even though the tank was full. Called tech support and was told the sensor couldn’t detect my water because it was too pure. The included test strip indicated about 100 ppm. Never thought a coffee maker would be designed to require hard water. Would have saved me a lot of time if Breville would have mentioned this in the brochure. Will say the machine looks great!

I finally figured out why I have been disappointed in two of this model. I finally gave up and bought a different brand. There is a Gold setting and a Bold setting. Gold seemed to match what I like in a cup of coffee so I always chose this selection. On several occasions the water would boil so hot that seam and coffee grounds would come out of the top and it made a horrible noise. On two occasions the second replacement pot exploded all over my counter and kitchen. A real mess to clean up. Since I had already had one replacement the company refused to send another, and I haven't heard from them about return the pot for fixing. So it's in the attic and I purchased another type of drip coffee maker. I think the reason is this....I live at high altitude and water boils at a lower temperature, so therefore it will boil longer and get hotter at the Gold setting. So disappointing as I love living in the mountains.

If you want to micromanage your coffee brewing than this might be the brewer for you...

Really nice coffee maker tech wise. Was very excited because we love this brand but are very disappointed. The coffee just isn’t hot enough even if you adjust the preferences, at its hottest, it’s just not hot coffee. Would not buy again, wish I could return.

Got for Mother’s Day, love the blooming option to create rich coffee.
