Beware! If you do not buy the extended warranty from Best Buy, they will only accept returns for a very short period (30-45 days I believe). Even though the advertising states a 1 year warranty.
Best Buy declined my return after this really nice microwave broke. (Center wheel quit spinning).. They had me deal with Breville directly and I had to pack and ship it back to Breville. Once Breville received confirmation of it being shipped, Breville was supposed to send a replacement. It’s been almost four weeks with NO microwave now!
I have always been impressed with Breville products, including this microwave until it broke.
Best Buy advertises a one year warranty although after less than a month or two, Best Buy refuses to service the product they sell and makes you deal with Breville directly.
Super inconvenient!!!
I’m wearing my toaster oven out. It’s also a Breville, but it works fine.

Don’t buy Breville product!

Beware! If you have a defective microwave like I have, you’ll never actually get a replacement from Breville. The Breville company and I have been emailing back and forth for over two months. The initial email I received from them was promising, it went down hill from there. Something with the door actually locks not allowing the door to close. I have to mess with it constantly to get it to work correctly.
Looks like I’m stuck with it!

Failed just after the warranty expired.

This microwave died after 15 months. The soft close quit after three months. It didn't get that much use; there are only two of us. Very, very disappointed, especially given that we paid $400.00 for it. I'm never buying Breville again.

If it only worked. It's a good looking appliance but basic microwave cooking is not its forte. Popcorn comes out with half the bag unpopped (at maximum recommended time), reheating or defrosting takes 2 tries..... Sad. It just doesn't cook.

Bought in September 2021, stopped working today - Will turn on but won’t heat food. Have never had this issue with any previous microwaves, all other makes and less expensive, have only ever changed them for aesthetic reasons. Do not buy!

Short life span

I liked this microwave initially, but after 17 months it no longer works. It has a loud buzzing noise when operating. Given this is at the higher price point for a countertop microwave, I expected it to last longer than 1.5 years and would not recommend this to anyone. At this price point I would have expected to get 3-5 years out of the appliance.

Wow! I really loved this microwave. Purchased a home in back in 2020 and decided to splurge and buy high end appliances including this particular model back in 2020. Me and the wife loved this initially. Now it is May of 2023, out of warranty and now tripping my breaker. Love the design, love the feature, horrible reliability for a high end appliance.

This microwave has broken 3 times now. The first two were replaced under warranty. Now out of warranty it stopped heating. These Breville products look nice but just don't last. I've had similar issues with an expresso maker and a panini maker.
