It does the job for pdf and jpg and you can easily toggle between 1 sided or duplex scanning. Customer service 1-800 number was also very helpful. For the money it is with it

I've been using Brother printers for a long time and they are awesome. I wanted to get a quick scanner that does the job. But for some reason this machine sticks the pages and leaves few pages out. I don't blame Brother because it could be a customer return that my local Best Buy repacked and sold to me and I could see from its packing. There was only 1 item of this left in my local store. I am within the return period and going to buy from a different store and write a honest review.

I like this buy, scans easily very quick and easy to open in any file, only issue is update available keeps coming up, and when you press update an error keeps coming up. Guess I will have to try and figure it out.

I love how easy this is to use and convenient it is to take with me when I am working on the go.

Oh really really wished it would’ve worked. Not only did the software never finish a adequately loading, but the feed will take two sheets at a time especially at the beginning. I returned it, disappointed that it would never actually upload the scanned documents

Nice compact scanner performs as stated the software is not as good as expected but will accomplish the task.

I have 4 boxes of paperwork to scan. This scanner along with the Paperport software works perfectly. I can stack and unstuck as I need. The scan quality is great too.

If you have a business that has a lot of receipts - buy this. And get Br-Receipts software from brothers. Good for scanning multiple receipts for my business.

Good little scanner. Works as expected. Double-sided scans, fast, rarely misfeeds. Can scan to computer or USB.

Easy to set up. Avoids complexities of network-enabled devices. With any multi-function printer/scanner that is network-enabled, setting up the scanning function is often the hardest task to accomplish and you may have to do this again and again. Works great if you want to scan a single page document or a few receipts. Biggest drawbacks of this Scanner: 1. Documents are scanned in image format, rather than pdf format. 2. When scanning a multi-page document, scanner works great in automatically scanning both sides of a page. But all the pages are scanned as individual image files. You have to convert each image individually to pdf format and then subsequently use software like Foxit or Acrobat (full version not Acrobat reader) to then combine all the pdf files to one pdf document. Lot of work.

Brother ADS-1200 Compact Desktop Scanner was easy to set up out of the box. I plugged it in and my desktop did the rest. No problems with google or Microsoft recognizing the new scanner and the scanned copies were great. Its light weight but doesn't feel cheap, and the quality for the price is good. I recommend this scanner if you are limited on space and need to share, it can be hook up to another computer/laptop in your home or office.

For the money I had to spend couldn’t get a better. Simple, easy to set up, n price was somehow reasonable. I just needed a scanner n is doing the job so far.

Fast scanning with easy set up! Great for work at home if you need a fast scanner that can process quickly!

Only issue I had was that the product didn't come with the necessary cable and it's not wifi compatible.
