    Ledger Size Printer

Since receiving this printer, I have been very pleased with performance, set-up, speed, quality of printed pages and specific features I use extensively, duplex and booklet printing. It has seemed to be a bit of an ink hog though. The black cartridge 3017 (XL) which shipped with the printer ran out very quickly. Overall a quality buy. I would recommend this printer for anyone needing ledger size work and special features.

    Inkvestment Printer without the Cost

    Posted .

If you are considering the Brother MFC-J6935DW you may want this option instead. This is the same all in one as the 6935 but without the Inkvestment cartridges and it's black versus white. But this all in one will use the same cartridges as the 6935. You just have to purchase them later. So far this has been an excellent printer for me and set-up was as easy as it can get. It is big. Like office big. But if you have a printer table for it to set on and the room you'll have no problem giving it a location to set at. Print speeds are fast in normal so I find no need to use draft. Colors are not as saturated as in a photo printer but then this is not a photo printer. It is a office/home office printer. Presentation Tabloid prints do look acceptable though when printed on high quality inkjet tabloid paper. The lower paper tray can be extended for use with 11x17 paper and has a front cover to keep the paper from getting dirty. Printing envelopes from the back feeder was simple and I had no jams. The build quality is on par with office machines and the parts look and feel like the same you would expect of corporate office machines. The display screen has a mat finish and is easy to view. One note that really doesn't have anything to do with function is in the picture the top section of the machine is shown in gloss black but my unit and I'm sure all production units are all mat black. I've used Brother printers before and have never had any problems out of them. With all the trouble Epson is having with their print heads I'm pleased I decided on Brother. I think you will be too no matter which model you choose.

This is my first Brother printer, and I was so pleasantly surprised by the easiness of the setup process. Compared to some other brands that I used before, the instructions were simple and clear, and there were no hiccups in software installation. The printer itself has all the features that a small office would need for a very affordable price. I was especially looking for multi-page and duplex scanning (along with copying and printing), and this printer has it all. The printing dialog box can be a bit overwhelming due to the many options to choose from, but it's nevertheless clear and provides help buttons with explanations of items that might be unclear. Printing speed is good (not as fast as laser printing, but faster than my previous inkjet printers). I can't quite comment on the best print quality because we've been using the ink-save mode. In short, we're very happy with this printer and would definitely recommend it.

Great printer! This replaces an HP all in one wireless printer, 8500 Pro, that CONSTANTLY lost its wi-fi connection. I would have to shut it down and restart it to get a connection back. This Brother printer can sit idle for a couple of weeks but when I hit print on my laptop, PC, Mac or iPhone, it comes to life and starts printing. It also doesn't go through a lengthy start-up if you have had it shut down.

This is an amazing inkjet printer. It is a little pricey for a reason. The quality is excellent and nothing about it feels cheap. It has every feature you can imagine and even speed that meets or beats a laser. With inkjet you get the great color. Although I read the reviews and saw the dimensions online, no stores in my area had it on display. I saw some other Brother inkjet/ laser printers and thought the size would be comparable, but when it was delivered I was kind of shocked. It's pretty huge and I was worried that it was too big for our space. But my husband was so in love with the functions and features that he has forfeited half of his desktop to house it.

This is a good printer, but the toner gets used up pretty quick, even with a new cartridge when the first one was out that came with the printer. Overall - not a bad printer. It does a good job.

I have been purchasing Brother Products for my business and home office for over 30 years. Brother printers are by far the best product on the market. The print quality is excellent and it came with a dual paper tray, one for legal and one for letter. Also, Brother has the best customer service of any product I have ever purchased. If you are looking for great products and exceptional customer service look no further than Brother.

Bought to replace an old Epson that started to act up. Took a little while to get used to operating but have finally felt like I know all the features now. This printer works well with my MacBook Pro. Double sided printing works great, colors are nice, quality is nice. Scanning works very well both on flat bed and in feeder as does copying. Glad I got this now.

I like this printer. I had a different Brother Inkjet until it died and got this one as a replacement. The only issue I have with it is when I print a photo on plain paper. The color replication is very poor. I tried a number of printer property adjustments, but none helped - save one. I also have a HP Inkjet printer that I use to compare against. My HP printer, also using plain paper, does a pretty outstanding job of color replication and it's much, much faster even in draft mode. On the good side, this Brother printer prints outstanding photos using photo-grade paper. While it is painfully slow doing so, the results are very good. If you want good photo replication when printing on plain paper, go into printer properties and tell it you're using Inkjet paper even though you're using plain paper. For some reason, that tricks the printer driver into printing a decent replication of the photo on plain paper. Still, it is painfully slow when printing. Normal document printing is pretty quick. No complaints there.

This printer is large and very solidly built. It came packaged well and the start up instructions were clear. No issues there. However, I could print wirelessly from my phone without downloading the included software (CD), but I could not print wirelessly from my laptop without downloading the software. Once I downloaded the software, my laptop found the printer and it printed just fine. I love the auto 2 sided printing and the auto document feeder. You can also scan directly to a computer or an email address. The touch screen is really nice. You can scroll through options by swiping. I haven't used this machine that much, so I'm not sure how long the ink lasts. But, the print quality seems to be good. So far, I'm very satisfied with this purchase.

Easy to set up, performs as advertised and loads with features. Very pleased with the wireless function and multi size paper handling. Printer has an office size foot print and is heavy at 50 pounds. A sturdy printer table may be required for home office use.
