I hve a home based business and print large quantities at a time. This printer has done it's job. I am really impressed, especially for the price!!

Purchased this printer to replace ever drying out ink jet. So far works very good. No problem setting up and hooking to the network. It supports air print from iPhone. The only con so far it is a little slow to start printing, but when it starts going it's going. Have not had a chance to see how long the cartridges last.

Wanted a color laser that wouldn't self-test itself dry on toner like the inkjet did with it's cartridges that it was to replace. Great quality for the money, fast, duplex, easy to setup, and the driver software for the Mac works well with all the options. I use it wirelessly and it has worked flawlessly so far. Also was very pleased with Best Buy's price matching policy. Will certainly shop there again.

I love the quality of the prints from this machine. It also prints very fast for a color printer.

Purchased this for use at home for the family. Primarily used for black and white and the occasional color. Quality is what you'd expect. It's a bit noisy and makes the lights flicker when it warms up.

I purchased this color laser printer after finally getting fed up with the cost of printer ink. The wireless connectivity is seamless and really easy to use with multiple devices. I have had the printer for 6 months and have not had to replace the low capacity starter toner cartridges yet (I would have replaced two sets of ink during that same period). It isn't great for high quality pictures, but works very well for typical school and work projects.

This is the best printer that I have ever purchased -- the printer speed and quality is great -- this product is much better than the all-in-one products that I had before

Even after reading the reviews and past experiences with Brother products I was a little hesitant. Once I got it placed and powered up the set up was simple and quick. Wirelessly networked in 10 minutes. This printer and Win10 work flawlessly as well as printing from phones and tablets and the wifes Macbook air. For those with setup issues or software problems (none needed by the way) clearly tried to outthink the setup or have some very antiquated tech.

I bought it because it was the only laser printer in the store, but I've been happy with it. Average noise level, good quality, no issues setting it up.

The unit works very well with 5 wireless devices in my house. I'm able to print from 4 laptops and a cell phone with no issues. Based on the cost of the toner cartridges versus inject this unit will pay for itself in 1-1/2 years. My only complaint is that it is not a scanner/copier. But otherwise it's great having the capability to send a document for printing and it will turn itself on and go back to sleep mode afterwards. Great unit.

I was looking for a wireless printer with good quality print and reasonable toner costs. This is a good solution.

This printer is a great low volume printer. The color pages print clear and evenly.

Bought this printer because of the great reviews. Couldn't be happier. Color looks great, prints fast, and has auto duplexing. I have put 1k pages through it, and hast had a jam or malfunction yet.

This printer has a lot of things going for it! First and foremost, not only can we print from any of our computers, but we can print from any of our tablets and phones that are on the same WiFi network as the printer... with little to no effort on our part to make it work. This printer is very quiet and very fast compared to the inkjet printers we’ve had over the years. I’m efinitely buying a second one for my business.

A little hard to set up at first b/c of the limited view screen. Would be nicer w a larger menu panel but once it's set up it's fine. Printer is good quality and prints nicely.

I had a Brother HL-4040CDN color printer for many years with no problems. Just replace the toner cartridges. I was at the point of either buying 2 or 3 more cartridges or just buy a new printer. I chose the latter. The 3170 is much quieter and somewhat faster than my old 4040. With the added benefit of wireless network, I feel it was a great upgrade. I've only printed 83 total copies as of this writing but so far I'm very happy with my purchase.

This printer was very simple to setup, connect to my WiFi and get started. The output is excellent - not quite as good as a dedicated photo printer, but photos were very acceptable for a frame with glass. Standard text printing is superb, especially at the higher resolution selection in the printer dialog. As with all laser printers, new cartridges are grossly overpriced and the "starter" cartridges will probably not last long.

Finally got tired of use ink jet printers and found this on sale. It's quick and easy to set up. Ink cartridges are easy to change out. Time will tell if they last. So far so good.

My HP color printer driver was no longer recognized by my computer. I was forced to buy a new printer and selected Brother instead and am satisfied with my purchase.
