While a bit louder in operation and a bit less sturdy in construction than my HP LJ1018, this seems to be a capable basic printer. I would buy it again.

If you want a printer just for printing, this is it. No smart printer here. No wireless, no bluetooth, no airplay, no etc. Just straight up usb printing which it does very well. Plus toner for this is very reasonably priced compared to other brands. This printer excels at its one and only job, printing.

I followed the instructions for the setup as stated and I did not have any problems.I run windows software and the printer works fine.

Good buy and works well. Double side printing is useful. Works well with Windows 10, but I can't make it to work for W7 professional.

This is a very good black and white laser printer. Toner last a lot, just plug and play and in no time you are working.

I love the small and compact size of this laser printer. It's the third Brother laser printer I've had and they've all been great workhorses. I use the duplex mode a lot and I'm glad this model has that feature. A very serviceable product at a good price.

My old printer required new cartridges every couple of weeks. This printer uses toner instead and goes for months without having to be replaced. This particular model prints in black only, but I find it works for my needs. It also does not have a copy feature, which I miss on occasion. Overall the savings makes it worth it.

My kids need a laser printer for their homework and I had to replace the Samsung laser printer in my house. Therefore, as a loyal user of Brother printers, I purchased this simple Brother laser printer for $50, cheaper than a laser cartridge. My wife and kids love this printer and they feel it is better than the Samsung one.

Our large business printer needed major maintenance, and I needed an immediate secondary printer. For the price, this black & white laser printer does well for small print jobs. We still use the 'Little Brother' while the business printer is busy with large batches. Wired printer requires physical connection to a PC and network share to allow additional computers access.

So far (a few weeks), I am very pleased. I chose not to get a wi-fi enabled model because most of the complaints related to that, and with a desktop the usb cable is not a big problem. Copy quality is excellent, and duplex printing is a nice bonus in a basic model. Time will tell of course, but so far A+.

Good print quality. Prints fast. I have nothing negative to say so far about this printer. Tired of running out of ink on an ink jet printer - and we mainly print in black anyway so this laser printer fits our needs. Very pleased with the free shipping and the price too - it was on sale and cheaper then elsewhere.

We bought it for our rv got home and realized it was bigger than I really wanted it to be but it appears to work good hard to connect to the Wi-Fi though

bought the printer for use at the small office at home. It is good for light printing like a 10 page report, 1-2 pages rebate forms, recipes, and whatever odds and ends printing needs. It is not a work horse if you want to print 200 pages booklet or anything like that. It is a bit slower to get the prints out. but it is good for home use. No complains at this low cost.
