The downfall of the printer- -- the drum needs cleaning all the time --- does not print perfectly clear- there is always flecks on the pages- ok for non professional printing purposes -- slow to react- takes awhile to print after the info is sent from computer last one took 20 minutes - most of the time around 2 minutes

Otherwise, quite frustrating as it is not wireless, but as a wired unit... it does not come with a chord. So back it goes.

THEY WERE BOTH FANTASTIC, WORKHORSES. WHENEVER I HAD A PROBLEM, I PHONED "BROTHER". THEY NO LONGER GIVE THE SUPPORT THEY USED TO. SO THIS TIME I TRIED TO USE THE GEEK SQUAD. UNFORTUNATELY, I JUST GOT A LEMON THIS TIME. I'M TRYING TO GET IT IN TO BE REPAIRED, OR AT LEAST GET A TECHNICIAN TO LOOK AT IT. I'LL LEAVE THIS UNTIL AFTER THE HOLIDAYS, EVERYTHING IS TOO CRAZY CROWDED. MY YEAR WARRANTY GOES UNTIL MARCH 18, 2022, SO I SUPPOSE I SHOULD GET IT IN BEFORE THEN. Not worth the aggravation

Unfortunately, about 90% of the pages I feed manually come out crooked. No matter how many times I try to adjust the feed, it spits them out crooked so I have had to reprint over and over. Since I do one page at a time, opening and closing the oversized paper drawer is not a convenient option. I tried to go online to Brother to locate customer service but it's a catch 22. Chat? Not available. Call? No number was provided on their website. I asked Best Buy if they had one and was given a number that led to one stupid "special offer" after another. I was referred to the Geek Squad to schedule an appointment to look at this however printers was not one of the options provided. Go figure.

I didn’t think any new printers were USB only these days. I ended up buying a new drum unit for my current “DW” model. I educated myself on what the model names mean...crappy lesson though...

It signaled to replace toner cartridge - which I did and it still would not work. I returned this to Best Buy and recived replacement. Same thing - 10 days and quit.
