Customers are saying
Customers value the HL-L2320D Black-and-White Laser Printer for its excellent print quality, ease of use, and affordable price. Many appreciate its compact size and reliable performance, along with the straightforward setup process. However, some users wish it had wireless capabilities, and a few find the printer to be somewhat noisy during operation. Overall, the positive feedback on print quality and value outweighs the negative comments regarding the lack of wireless and the noise level.

Malfunctioning
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my 2nd Brother printer and it only worked well for a few months. (My other one is 4 years old and works fine.) This one gets hardly any use, but every other time it is used, it sucks the printed page halfway back in and I have to pull it out. Very disappointed in this model and not sure what to do as I need to have the use of a 2nd printer for my business.

Posted .Hi Kirea, I understand you are experiencing an issue with the machine pulling the paper back into the printer. This sounds like you have the machine set for 2 sided printing. Here is a link to change those settings.

DO NOT BUY. DOES NOT COME WITH A CABLE.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So for whatever reason the manufacturer does not provide the cable that connects the printer to the computer. You will have to buy it separately. So that means your initial printer setup will not be possible and you can't buy it beforehand because you have to know what type of cable of is missing. Also customer support was very poor. I spent over twenty minutes with a gentleman who was very confused with the situation. Then told me an abundance of mailing options which did not work. In the end I had to buy cable separately. An additional 30 bucks. Customer Support could/would not offer me any compensation.

Posted .Hi, I am sorry you are not happy with the machine not coming with a USB cable. A USB cable is not included with the purchase of your Brother machine. A list of components included with the machine is printed on the outside of the carton.
Brother doesn't include USB cables with its printers, fax machines, or Multifunction Centers (MFC) because there are often multiple ways to connect these machines to a computer or network, and we are unable to anticipate which of these connection methods you will use. Including multiple cables for multiple connection types would unnecessarily contribute to environmental waste. Brother is committed to conserving the global environment.
If your Brother machine is wireless-capable and you require a USB cable to initially connect the machine to a wireless network, you may be able to 'borrow' a USB cable from another device, use it to connect your machine to the network, and then reconnect the cable to the original device.
The Brother machine has a Standard-B USB port, so you must use type A/B USB cable. We recommend the cable be 6 feet or less.

Excellent Inexpensive Laser Printer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased several years ago as a second printer to allow high quality b/w document printing (as an alternative to our color inkjet) and have been completely satisfied. - Reliable. - Two sided print capable. - Wifi. - Small footprint. - Inexpensive. Highly recommend this or its more slightly expensive subscription capable version.

Poor Quality - Stick with HP

I have tried several different toner cartridges to no avail. I have other Brother's that work great. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this printer.

Brother makes the best printers.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this printer primarily based on the fact that it is a Brother, and Brother sells good printers. I have previously owned Canon, HP, Lexmark, Epson and Samsung and can't really recommend any of the above. Hopefully this is the last printer I buy. The price was right. It prints on both sides automatically, (you may have to check a box in the print dialogue once for 'double sided printing' or some similar phrase, but once you click it once, it should stay activated by default, until you want to disable it for some reason.) Initial setup was easy and it took less than 10 seconds to fire up the first print. This printer may not have come with a USB cable, but that's okay because the printer that it replaced was already using that type of cable, and I have several of such cables lying around because they only seem to be good for printers and one webcam from 20 years ago. I did not bother inserting the CD and installing all the extra software, just using the basic driver that windows found and I'm happy with it. I unplugged the all-in-one printer/scanner/copier from the computer and plugged this in, so anything printed from the PC will use toner, and the only ink used in the printer will be that used for making copies.
