Customers are saying

Customers value the HL-L2320D Black-and-White Laser Printer for its excellent print quality, ease of use, and affordable price. Many appreciate its compact size and reliable performance, along with the straightforward setup process. However, some users wish it had wireless capabilities, and a few find the printer to be somewhat noisy during operation. Overall, the positive feedback on print quality and value outweighs the negative comments regarding the lack of wireless and the noise level.

    Great, but 1 major fault

    Posted .

I've had this unit for over 2 years. It functions very well if, like me, you only want b/w prints. I tried one time to use a generic refill cartridge, and it failed after a few hundred pages (streak lines). The major fault of the printer is just like most printers: by the time you buy your 2nd cartridge, you will have paid MORE than the original printer equipment. Sad.

Good only for the initial toner cartridge

Nice printer but when you replace the toner it'll die. Figure the price of the printer and the price of the new toner and you'll be about fifty cents or a dollar per page. And you'll need a new printer.

    Missing parts

Printer doesn’t come with VERY ESSENTIAL CABLE needed in order to set it up. I have no idea why they are so cheap as to not include this item with the machine. You get to the final step of setup and it asks you to plug in the USB cable only to find you don’t have one. It’s completely ridiculous to spend $100+ on a printer only to have to go out and buy a separate cable in order to be able to use it. They also don’t warn you when purchasing that you will need to purchase one separately.

We are sorry to hear that you are having connection issues with your Brother HLL2320D machine. A USB cable is not included with the purchase of your Brother machine. A list of components included with the machine is printed on the outside of the carton. If your Brother machine requires a USB cable you may be able to 'borrow' a USB cable from another device. The Brother machine has a Standard-B USB port, so you must use type A/B USB cable. We recommend the cable be 6 feet or less.

No Wi-Fi when it was sold as product with wi-fi

I bought this with the understanding it was a simple printer with wi-fi. Nothing on the box said it but BestBuy insisted there was. There isn't. This is the best buy in Lawton Ok. It has no cables to connect to your computer and they do not sell this cable in any store within 100 miles of me. The only place you can get it is Amazon. This was a pointless buy.

Worst printer decision I have ever made, Avoid

This is the worst printer I have ever experienced. You can not ever get it to print, it is always in sleep, gives no way to get it out of sleep. It's menu is the most archaic, un understandable thing you will ever experience. It will never print, never, you have reinstall the wifi system, and mess with it for hours every time you want to print I had a samsung for like 10 years, and would print, and print and print, now this thing runs out of laser ink in a month. I have an HP color, and it is cheaper to print with that now that it is to use this laser printer, and I got it to be able to print at a low cost. Last is their customer service is non existent. I am pretty sure people that say they like this printer are working for them, there is no way. Run Run Run

Bought my first Brother (great price), stopped working after two months, toner light stayed on even with a new cartridge, tech couldn't fix, was able to return it for another, which just died after six weeks, same problem. Give me back my HP.
