absolutely no complaints about the quality or price/page of printing. hello? researching printers i had to make a decision, and it turns out it was a great decision to get this 'bottom-of-the-line' USB connected printer for my home network. i no longer think about printing, i hit the print button, and I won't have to think about more ink for a long time. yeah, I think the Brother line is designed in Germany, gotta like that German engineering, ya know?

This is the perfect printer for college students. I've used it for two weeks and it works perfectly. It offers duplex printing (automatic both sides of paper) to save papers. It also prints very quick. College students should get this!

This is about my 20th Brother printer (when the drum goes bad I just buy a new printer). Great printer for the price. The only thing I don't like is the power cord does not detach from the printer.

Printer setup is easy. Speed of printing is fast with very high quality. Even does 2 sided printing if desired. Outstanding printer/value for the price!

This printer worked perfectly! I bought it because I needed a laser printer to print on a metallic paper. My daughter is taking it to college with her so I just might have to purchase another one!

For a basic printer, this is a great one. Fast, small, fairly quiet, and boots quickly. I did exchange it though for another Brother that could copy and scan. But if you're looking for something to just print black and white documents with, this is going to do that at a reasonable price. The bubble jet printers just cost too much in toner for what you can print. I had the Canon Pixma 922. It worked fine but the toner was just ridiculous. The new HP and Lexmark printers are even worse. Thank you to Brother.

I needed a printer for my new small business office. I did lots of research to find a printer with ink refills that were both well priced. I have been using this printer for a couple of weeks and so far I love it! The quality of the prints is good. The printer was easy to set up. Just know that the USB cord that connects your computer to the printer is not included, so you might want to pick up one of those.

Read the reviews before selecting this basic laser printer. It's great for the price. While in nursing school I'm expected to print out an exhorborant amount of pages and this little dude is a workhorse! I waited until around Black Friday and scored it for $45. The ink is nothing special and I definitely wouldn't recommend it for printing a resume or anything special, but is excellent for power point slides and such. The toner it came with lasted about 200-250 pages (perhaps more?). Very easy set up too. Awesome for the price!

After years of fighting with ink jet printers drying up between uses, I went for a small laser. This one does everything I wanted accept I was told it is wireless, it is not. So, it prints when I want with no drama, but I have to plug it in to a computer to use it.

It performs on par with most laser printers of its class, fast, efficient, good quality output, fairly quiet. I was at first reluctant to buy it being a HP fan, because I read the drum and toner are both consumables. Then I read HP no longer includes the drum in their toner replacements either. Time will tell how much the consumables will cost. I liked the size, the fact that it has a paper try, and don't laugh, and the color for my home office. General business printing and envelopes work about as well as any laser I've ever owned.

I wanted a basic printer and didn't need colour. It would have been nice to have wireless but didn't need it so didn't need to see the necessity of paying way more for a printer that had that. I love that it does double sided printing!

Fantastic laser printer. Fast and easy to set up and use. Holds 250 sheets of paper. Prints quickly makes great quality black and white text and images. If you need a great quality printer at a great low price then this is the printer to get. Works as good as those other laser printers costing two to three times more than this printer.

So I bought this printer for my daughter, who is going to school in California. I bought and paid for it here in Seattle and picked it up down there, very convenient. This print is very simple, it's not a multi function printer, all it does is print and it does a wonderful job. My daughter loves not having to go to the library. The library in the college charges 6 cents a copy, my daughter can print on this for free! In fact all the girls on her floor are using this printer for all their printing needs. The only draw back is the toner size, you can only print 1,200 pages, I wish they had a bigger toner, these girls go through a lot of toner. On the whole, very happy with this buy and so will you.

I have used inkjet printers for years. They are expensive because of ink cost and break down frequently. This brother laser printer was easy to set up, prints beautifully, is fast and quiet. No more ink jets for me.

This printer is easy to install and prints swiftly. It's small enough to be easily transportable as well.

Nice black and white printer for the money. Purchase it at Best Buy rather than Staples since their return policy is much better. The replacement toner cartridges are very expensive($45 and $60) for the regular and longer lasting cartridges. But all replacement cartridges are expensive.

Heavy duty printer. Super reliable. Big print jobs.

We carry this printer back and forth between home and various holiday locations. Fast enough for us, relatively inexpensive to operate, and is just the thing for a couple of writers.
