The printer was a little difficult to set up to my mac, but the brother web site helped with this. Have not had any difficulty in waking printer up from sleep mode as indicated in some review posts. Still haven"t been able to change print from landscape to regular print mode. So far no problems worth mention.

Amazing printer to use for air print for those who need to print documents off their iPhones etc. no issues what so ever connects with no problem def would recommend this for documentation printing purposes.

Compared to my earlier generation Brother laser printer, which recently croaked, this one was super easy to set up for wireless operation with my wife's MacBook Air and my Dell Latitude laptop. The two-sided printing function also works quite well.

If you like having technical issues and waiting on hold when calling, this is the product for you. I am very technical and this printer does not work. I was told by brother they know of the issues but firmware will not be released for months. Worse part, I will never buy a brother product after going through their customer service. Hold times are ridiculous and you can get a straight answer. I returned and purchase an HP that works....

The initial instructions were not clear about requiring a USB cable for setup. I thought I would download setup from Brother's Website. I started the download and followed the prompts. I was able to get the printer working as network printer without any USB cable. The printer works as advertised.

Product is ok. I would not buy it again. Print isn't dark enough for me.

Did the job but goes into deep sleep quickly (even though I set it on a timer). It does. It automatically awake from deep sleep to print wirelessly and therefore had to power it off to wake it up. Printing quality is great. Very quick.

Continually drops WiFi signal. We have to reconnect to WiFi EVERY time we want to print. Also, it prints a “failed connection” page so we are constantly using paper and ink at all times of the day. We had been looking forward to this printer for months and are so disappointed.

Read many online reviews of this printer and they were all complimentary. One of the biggest pluses is the reasonable cost for replacing the toner cartridges. Outstanding value, and after I could spend time with it, it is working flawlessly.

A bit difficult to set up, but only a minor bump in the road. Wi-Fi printing is convenient and necessary with today's mobile devices. Starter ink cartridge is still printing strong, and this particular printer was selected for the lower printing price point of replacement ink.

This is a good printer, so far. The biggest issue is that the single feed does not always go in smoothly. For check printing, this is an issue. I have to open the paper tray and put the check stock in, in order to ensure that they will be properly printed. For the price, it works fine.

It's a descent office printer if you have smaller jobs without a lot of graphics. The printer ran out of memory during a couple of my print jobs and it goes into a deep sleep. For smaller print jobs its an excellent printer.

I wanted a laser printer, but didn't want to spend a lot of money. I found this one for 89.00. I love it. I works great and the ink cartridge is inexpensive compared to the ink jet. I wish I would have purchased a laser printer years ago.

I replaced my inkjet printer with this mono laser printer. I don't print that much material in color and the ink cartridge cost were starting to get to be to much. For my printing needs a 1200 page toner cartridge will do the job and save some money in the long term.

Like most people, I bought this to replace an inkjet printer. I just couldn't bring myself to buy another set of ink cartridges. So far, it's been great, and after 6+ months I'm still on the toner that shipped with the printer.

A little confusing to install; slow on the output; good quality print; lots of printing can be done with a single toner tray. If you want a basic printer and no color that does the job, this is a good one to buy.

If the college doesn't have super wireless connections in your dorm room, you will have to connect and print via an USB cord. No biggie, but it took two trips to Best Buys to get figured out was wrong with the printer not hooking up wirelessly and how to solve the problem.

Printer worked great for about a month, now printer is sick on replace toner cartridge even though it's just replaced. Liked the printer so I picked up another. Now it's doing the same thing. Tech support on there website is horrible. Choose a different brand and hadn't looked back

After a quick search on the net for the best price, I ran to my local Best Buy and grabbed on of these for my office. This printer does it's job and does it well. Brother has become the go to printers at our office and we love them.

The printer we use for our invoicing at work quit on us, so we needed something quick and inexpensive, as a stop gap. I don't know how long this one will last with such a heavy print load each day, but I have one for light use, so I knew it could do the job for a while.
