Compact & Fastest B&W printer that I ever had

I bought printers earlier under the range of $200 for my personal use and all were filled space and performance wise very slow and it's like I am waiting in a queue to get my paper printed. This brother printer filled that gap and it's fastest and didn't occupy much space and overall easy to use and that's all what I needed. Fantastic.

The tiniest screen on a printer

I have had four other Brother laser and inkjet printers. I bought this smaller one for upstairs home use. As soon as I was installing it, I realized that it has a tiny strip of a control screen with no keypad. It is the length and width of my female pinky. You have to press an up or down arrow button to manually scroll through every alphabet letter number and punctuation mark to enter a password. Nobody should have to use a tiny screen or buttons like that in 2022. I want to return it just bc I don't ever want to deal with a screen like that.

Excellent quality output for the HL-L2370DW Printe

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

This HL-L2370DW Printer replaced my very trustworthy Brother HL-2170W Laser Printer which lasted for years. The 2170 was giving me the Drum replacement light/signal for quite a while until it finally would not print anymore. The toner also needed replacement. The cost for both of these was about $150 vs the cost of the new HL-L2370DW was $100 plus $80 for a new TN-760 high yield toner cartridge at Best Buy. So, spend $150 and keep the old printer, or spend $180 for a new HL-L2370 Printer and toner cartridge. Did the latter. (Note that the toner cartridge that comes with the new printer is a starter and only prints about 700 pages.) This new Brother Printer was very difficult to install the wireless function in comparison to other printers and devices I own or have owned. Problem turned out to be a bad/incomplete instruction to me the user. That instruction appeared on my monitor and said to touch/hit the WiFi button on the top of the printer. My monitor and keyboard are on one desk and the printer is on an adjacent desk to my right side. I sit at my desk, not stand. So, the instruction on my monitor in setting up the wireless said to touch/hit the WiFi button which is on top of the printer and 4 inches behind the front of the printer. The button is about 5/16 inch in diameter and sticks up approximately 1/8 inch and is lit up and glows green when the printer has power on when one is doing the setup. Sitting at the desk and facing the monitor, I look to my right, reach over with my hand and touch/press the green button. Nothing good happened after that and I kept retrying. Then, after a handful of retries, I decided to stand up when told by the instruction on the screen to touch the WiFi button and lo and behold, the nearby lcd screen 1.5 inches behind the WiFi button has another instruction on it needed to proceed with the install. It asks you to touch an arrow button to proceed. Seems like the instruction on the screen was not complete that told you to press the WiFi instruction in that it DID NOT tell you to ALSO look at the lcd small screen on top of the printer to also hit the proper arrow button. Being that the print output I got when my install was complete was excellent I would be inclined to give a 5 star rating. But, the install is part of the product, so I give a 4 rating. Too bad on products like these there are not two ratings. One for the output of the product which is what we users really care about and need for months/years ahead and another rating for the install. If there were a rating for the install, I would give a 3. There were also firmware/software updates applied to my printer and PC when I registered the product and these were done without a problem. My new printer has a slightly smaller footprint compared to the old Brother and is lighter in weight. Of course do not know if the quality of the components (mechanicals, electronics) inside is better than, same or worse than my old Brother printer. Time will tell.

It's so awful to hear you've experienced these difficulties with the printer; I can certainly imagine how frustrating this must have been. I'm so sorry that you've had a less than seamless experience through this and I assure you this is not at all what we strive for with our customers. It's very unfortunate you've had to spend what sounds like a tremendous amount of time and effort on reaching a resolution with this.

Despite the printer continuing to jam, I do hope that in the future you'll allow us the opportunity to make things right and provide you with a more seamless experience, as it should have been from the get-go. Stated page yields for genuine Brother cartridges are based on the ISO testing standards. The number of pages that can be printed with a cartridge is affected by several factors, including paper size, number of pages per print job, amount of print on each page, font size, and print content (graphics, charts, etc.). Print jobs with large text fonts, graphics, charts, and/or large amount of solid coverage (black or any given color) will use much more toner and will shorten the life of the toner cartridge.

Please verify you have purchased a new Brother Genuine cartridge by following the steps on this website:  https://www.brother-usa.com/supplies/ink-and-toner/security

If you have any questions about your Genuine cartridge, please contact Brother customer service at www.brother-usa.com/support. Brother
