Printer died and there's no Support

Complete trash. Purchased the Brother HL-L2370DW in June. By early December it died and wouldn't power-up. Tried calling Brother 4 times - each time got disconnected after the call timed out. Also, there's no customer support available via chat, email or any other means. Do yourself a favor and avoid Brother, even if it costs more money to do so.

Contact customer support at the number not provided. cant download the required update despite being logged in to the account I had to create to register the product. Insert the DISK (WHF) to access your manual. I wouldn't recommend this product for anyone who want to just print from mobile devices (iPhone and or Fire Tablet)

Since I first got it, I always had trouble loading paper. When you try to use the front loader it would constantly say "paper jam." This printer says paper jam more times than it actually prints paper. I dealt with it, but after about 2 years of use, it broke down, saying that some belt needs to be replaced.. this happened exactly one month after my two year protection plan on it expired. It seems that they know these things only have a two-year lifespan.

Hi, the stated page yields for genuine Brother cartridges are based on the ISO testing standards. The number of pages that can be printed with a cartridge is affected by several factors, including paper size, number of pages per print job, amount of print on each page, font size, and print content (graphics, charts, etc.). Print jobs with large text fonts, graphics, charts, and/or large amount of solid coverage (black or any given color) will use much more toner and will shorten the life of the toner cartridge. Garbage, out of toner in under 200 pages

Severe toner issues. I opened up my paper and placed roughly 200 sheets in. I began printing some paperwork I needed done on a few subjects and before using up the paper I put in there the printer stops printing claiming to need the toner replaced. So basically within a few minutes of opening the box and installing this printer they already want me to fork out a bunch more money for toner that apparently will need replaced every 200 or less sheets. I will be sending this back if they don't find another solution for me and I will update on findings.

I had this printer for 19 months before it died. I didn’t use it more than a few times a month so it wasn’t from overuse. Since it was over a year it wasn’t under warranty and there was no support. They said they could not help me. This was obviously a manufacturing defect and should have been replaced. Do not buy this

Hi, I understand you are having an issue with printing wireless. If the machine is in Deep Sleep Mode for a certain length of time, based on your model and settings, the machine will go into Power Off Mode automatically. The machine doesn't go into Power Off Mode when connected to a network. Here is a FAQ that may work.

Printer started making a noise warming up and as starting to print (maybe 2 months from when I purchased it.) Unfortunately, I waited to call support and now 1 month out of 90 day warranty. I had been buying HP printers for decades and never had a problem. Bought this because HP wasn't available during COVID.

    Wi-Fi Compatibility Sucks!

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The Wi-Fi set-up was very tedious and frustrating. With the limited instructions provided, it made it almost impossible to connect. When I finally was able to connect the printer, I came to realize that Brother does not have a compatible software with IOS for this specific printer. The Brother iPrint&iScan was not able to detect or register the device. All and all it seems like you get what you pay for, a printer that is NOT Wi-Fi compatible! If you have the extra funds to purchase a different model from Brother, I would highly recommend you take that route. In the end those extra dollars will save you restocking fee and a trip to the store to process the return. Do not recommend this printer to customers looking for a Wi-Fi compatible printer.

Bought it almost 2 years ago and have used it on rare occasions. It has been OK throughout (nothing fancy, decent quality), but now it just would not turn on. Tried different outlets, some troubleshooting based on Brothers' website, but its dead. Less than 2 years is not what I had in mind.

Hi, The Brother HL-L2370DW is not capable of producing an audible beeping sound during printing, as it doesn't have a speaker. The noise is likely caused by a UPS/battery backup on the same circuit as the machine. This includes battery backup devices, surge protection devices, and power strips, and may include devices which are plugged into AC electrical outlets outside of the room where the Brother machine is located. Here is FAQ with additional steps that may help.

Goes into "sleep" mode almost as soon as a print is made. Must "re-actuallize" the printer by going back and forth separating it from another printer in the room. Then it goes back to sleep before I can finish my work. Will never buy another laser (wireless) printer again even nf I have to go to Goodwill and buy a "re-habed" one.

I loved this printer at first but as the days go on I’ve found that I have to constantly reset it and reconnect it to the wifi. Sometimes I have to unplug it and reset it three to four times before it’ll actually connect and not say “connection failed”. When you’re busy working and need it it’s very frustrating and inconvenient.
