Set up and printed first page black vertical line down page. FAQ said to take out the drum assembly and I could see a black area on drum but why would I do all that when it should work right out of the box? Returning.

Although the printer is connected to my WiFi and appears as READY in my mobile devices, when I PRINT from my mobile devices I always get a message to say UNABLE TO CONNECT TO PRINTER so and so.

Requested multi function laser printer with scanning and faxing and received only a printer.I was unable to find what I wanted at Best Buy and they could not even order it.

I have purchased 7 printers and this one is by far the worst. It randomly disconnects from wifi. It will print the document 11 to 30 minutes later. I will never buy another Brother product. after 1 year this thing is headed to the garbage can.

The printer worked great for more than a year. Then one day it just died and won't turn on. Support wasn't of much help. 100$+ for more than a year of slight use is pretty expensive.

I bought two of these a year ago. One perpetually jams and one is dead with no power. They both became junk in the exact same month, a few months after the warranty expired.

Bought this Printer on February 27 2020 and barley used it. It is now May 25 2021 and the printer has died as it won't power on. If I could give it no stars I would, it's a piece of junk.

This printer is not working and we cannot even get it connected. I had a professional from Verizon try and he said the same. I am bringing it back for an exchange

The printer is a pain, nothing but frustrating trying log in to it with wi-fi. Then i need a pin to get it on the network. OMG its really frustrating. It shouldn’t be this way.

The printer won't power on after 9 months. Crappy quality. Reached out to HP Support and they agreed to send a refurbished printer as this was in the warranty period.

Microsoft blocked your brother app for printing. They Want additional 99.00 or ongoing 15 monthly. Returning your machine tomorrow for refund.

Did not work out of box Unable code 0B - On line fix didn't work, neither did phone support - basically kept turning it off and on - and it did not fix itself - surprise!

This printer is just what I needed. A mono-color (black ink) laser printer. It was very simple to get working as a wireless wi/fi printer that is Apple AirPrint compatible. I was up and running in less than 10 minutes. Have printed recipes and articles off my iPhone using AirPrint. I am running OS X Big Sur on my iMac and printer driver was available on the Brother website. Easy setup, good print quality, quiet printing, and fast first page printing. I really like this printer and it didn’t cost an arm and a leg to boot. A++++++++++

I had to return it. It wouldn't print consistently. Some days it would only print half a page of a document. Then, it wouldn't print at all the next day.

My son has this same printer with no problems. Was easy to set up excellent quality. Very fast compared to my old inkjet printer.

Printer does Not want to print. After 2 months the printer stops printing, Paper is there and ink is new. Not a good wireless printer

This Brother laser printer is the best for business use especially, and home offices. It is one of the fastest printers on the market and the most reliable.

I originally bought a Samsung Xpress M2835DW laser printer but returned it because it refused to print. I'm glad it didn't print because I traded it in for this Brother printer which is light years better. This printer was one of the highest rated printers in Consumer Reports, and the reviews on BestBuy.com were also great, The only glitch I encountered was in the wireless setup because my network couldn't find the printer. So I called tech support. Brother is the only printer company I'm aware of that provides lifetime free phone support. Chris had me connect the printer wirelessly by using the control panel directly on the printer. It took longer that way, but it worked. The rest of the installation (drivers, etc.) went flawlessly. I told him that I was reluctant to buy this printer because there were negative reviews on Amazon which all said the same thing -- the printer would go to sleep and you had to turn off the printer and turn it back on to get it to print. Chris told me that a recent software upgrade totally eliminated this problem. While on the phone, I printed a page while the printer was sleeping, and the printer immediately "woke up" and printed the page. I've since tested a number of options including automatic double-sided print and I can attest that everything is working great. The low price of this printer together with lifetime FREE phone support from Brother is enough to highly recommend this printer. I have another Brother inkjet printer and I can confirm that I have always gotten through to a technician with little wait time, and that their support is NOT outsourced overseas. As a bonus, for an extra $10 I got a 2-year replacement warranty from BestBuy. I highly recommend this printer.

Piece of junk. I spent three hours trying to connect this printer to my MAC. It’s going back to BB this weekend.

Worked great for about 6 months. Now it's dead. On with Brother support right now. We'll see what they do.
