It uses toner so I usually do not have to change it for months (thousands of pages per cartridge). It can print from your phone, laptop or desktop. I bought this one because I had an earlier version that lasted me over 5 years with constant use. I am so happy with the upgrade - since it also works through wifi - the printing from my phone is such a game changer.

This printer is a work horse regardless of what you use it for and at it's price of often right around $100 or sometimes less it makes a great addition to the home printing needs!

Great printer at a good value

I have mine setup as a wireless printer and it works every time. One thing to watch out for is if it is sleeping, sometimes when printing it does not wake up. You can adjust this in the admin control panel so you don't have this issue anymore.

Solid reliable printer

I went laser printer and am very pleased. Brother makes a reliable product and I am happy with the print quality. It was easy to set up - connected to wifi and has been an asset for my home office.

I ordered online, and delivery was timely and the box was in good shape.
