This Brother laser printer is everything I hoped it would be. Set up was straightforward. Two sided printing works very well, and is a treat after my old printer which limited printing to a single side. The paper tray accommodates a significant stack of paper and I have experienced no paper misfeeds to date. Print quality is excellent! Importantly, for those who have read the voluminous reviews available on the web, the reported problem with the printer going into a deep sleep and users having problems awaking it has not occurred thus far. All in all an excellent printer!

Printer works great started right up after I got it hooked up to the computer. Prints out very fast and looks great for basic black and white printing. Highly recommend.

This printer works as I was expect, I can use it wifi or with usb, is very easy to instal to the computer, I only follow the steps on the manual.

Replaced two older printers with two of these and they work great. Basic laser mono printing but the prints are sharp and clear. Would give 5 stars but the software to set up the wireless function is a nightmare.

A workhorse and excellent printer! My fourth one, And all of the others are still working in my office… Excellent product!

This printer was really affordable and it was super easy to link my MacBook to it. Prints fast as well. I love my printer.

Great laser printer. Single paper tray but will print both sides if you need. Also, you can add 8 1/2 x 14 as well as letter size paper to tray. A Workhorse‼️

Easy to setup, prints fast, toner is cheap. Does just printing, which is all we need, but also means less stuff to break.

so far so good -- it's new, so who knows, but easy to set up and works fine. I really can't judge it yet, they want these reviews right away but who knows how it'll work in a couple of months.

This is a good network printer for its size and black and white

Like many who were tired of low ink or no ink when needing a printer. This simple laser printer gets the job done. Double sided printing. Printing from phone. What more can you ask for.

Wireless more difficult to set up than necessary. Went with USB cable. Good print. Gave up duplex & scanner but for the price & size, worth it.

If you just need a printer for basic black and white without breaking the bank this one is great. Easy setup, quick printing and double sided option is a nice plus

Printer was easy to setup to a wired network and supported windows server 2008 R2, which is what I needed. Prints fast with good quality prints. So far so good.

The box arrived in great condition, packaged very nicely. The printer itself has a more squarish footprint than I'm used to but it's because the paper is held inside the printer vs. through a feeder that's visible. Installation of the toner was very easy, just had to peel away some tape on the exterior holding the various moving parts. Setting up this printer was a TERRIBLE process. We're living in 2020 and Brother thinks it's still 2010. Imagine a printer with no 5GHz wireless support! I had to turn on my 2.4GHz network only to discover that it wouldn't support WPA PSK2 encryption (which is standard for wifi passwords in 2020). After 45 minutes of trying to connect my printer to my Wifi network I finally succeeded after pressing the WPS setup button on my router and using that method to connect the printer. A few more software updates via wired(!!!) USB connection and I was ready to print... or so I thought. The process to actually get my desktop computer (Windows 10) to print looked like this: * Add printer via the Windows 10 settings. It detected the printer right away which was a good sign. * Download drivers * Update firmware on printer * Update software on desktop * Try to print a few times and ended up in an infinite loop of the print job restarting and instantly failing * Restart printer (printing still didn't work) * Remove printer from settings (sigh...) * Re-add printer * and it FINALLY prints! Hooray! Surprisingly, my mobile phone was able to print via wifi with much less trouble, though the printout was hilariously small and incorrectly scaled. I do really hope Brother execs check their calendars soon, because they're behind on the technology by about 10-15 years. But at a $99 price point I'm just glad to have a new printer now that the pain of setting it up is past me.

I needed a monochrome laser printer, but I did not want to spend a lot of money. I think this printer is the perfect combination of quality for the price.

I tend to have sporadic printing needs which is why I chose this printer. It works very well so far with no issues. the -1 star is really reliant on an annoyance I have when low on ink and often times having to press ok on the printer to get it to accept jobs (ex/ printer down stairs and I am on second floor, hit print and don't head downstairs for a bit it will sometimes fail the job due to not pressing anything to ack the low toner). Otherwise works well and I do not have to worry about toner drying up!
