I've had Brother laser printers before...all reliable. My most recent HL5170n gave up the ghost; thus I needed to replace it. The 2380DW has the added function of scanning and copying...somethings the 5170 could not do. The wireless 2380 even prints faster than the larger 5170. I opted to have it wireless, although I do have hardwired do have ethernet that I could use too. Overall I have been satisfied with it. This model does not have the auto tray for scanning or copying multiple sheets (my choice). Overall the setup is easy and the quality of print is good. Additionally, one can easily print from an I-Pad and I-Phone, both quickly finding the Brother for printing.

I'm not a tech savvy person, but I managed to set up this printer without help.

Printer was very cost effective and perfect when your on the go and need it fast. It's so convenient to print right from virtually and device, IOS or Android. Very happy with product.

Loved this printer so much I purchased 2. One for home & one for work. Saves money because I am using toner. Cons: I ran out of toner so tried to use swap @ use from the same exact cartridge from my work printer and because it was not a brand new cartridge the printer would NOT recognize it and kept saying needs toner. Quite annoying. Should be able to use even if not brand new. Also wish the scanner was feedable. Rather then using one at at a time.

i was in the market for a laser printer. I needed to make prints using toner exclusively. I found this one on sale for 150 which is the main reason I chose it. The other reason is I also needed a scanner and this one has a scanner. It prints super fast. I'm using it completely wireless. It's able to scan docs up to all the popular clouds servers which is nice and I was able to get it up and running out the box without the drivers, which I did eventually install so I could scan directly to my pc without having to initiate the scan from the desktop. I've used wired and wireless versions of hp and epson printers in the past and believe it or not I prefer the layout and features in the brother controls panel better.

This is my second purchase of this printer, so I am well familiar with it. The first one is two years old, and still going strong.Scan, copy, airprint! Love it! I was so tired of the inkjet printer ink expense, and this little baby lasts a long time before I have to replace the toner cartridge, which sells for around $52. It's a laser, and because I rarely print in color, I am happy with the black print limitation. Best of all, I can print from my Iphone or Ipad. The LED display makes for a quick selection if you are copying or scanning. Just a painfree printer in every way!!

I did my research, read a lot of reviews, and with a really great sale price pulled the trigger and bought this printer. This is my first laser printer, and I was a little concerned about some of the reviews regarding the print quality. I suppose if you need to print really fine graphics in high quality, a higher-end printer would be a better choice. I've printed 8-font lettering and the print looks very good, even when magnified. I just printed a payment receipt today, and the REALLY small lettering on it looks great! The time required for the first page to print is is just several seconds, and it spits out any additional pages one after the other. I was able to print on 4" X 6" postcards without any problems, even using the paper tray. The front manual paper feed makes it even more convenient. I've barely put a dent in the "starter" toner cartridge, and the cost of replacement toner is one of the big reasons I bought this Brother printer. If you are willing to use off-brand cartridges (which many reviews say work just fine), you can pick them up for under $15 online. Quick and easy to set up, simple to operate, and more than enough features for my home printing. I am VERY happy with my decision to buy this printer.

The price point of this printer was awesome! I bought it on sale for just over $100. It is worth every penny!! It can print duplex (double-sided copies), has a 250-sheet paper tray, and the print quality is great. The printer was every easy and straight-forward to set up. The toner cartridge was sealed, so there was no mess to deal with. I was pleased to discover that the printer comes with a full toner cartridge, not a teaser cartridge with a minimal amount of toner. Not knowing this, I did purchase a separate toner cartridge. NOTE: There is a larger, economy size toner cartridge available for purchase. I did not realize until I was setting up the printer that it was not compatible with my MacBook Pro laptop, as I have an older operating system (10.6.8). (I should note that the OS requirements were plainly printed on the box, that I simply did not read them. Actually, I am glad I had not read them, for I would probably have had purchased a more expensive printer, one that I did not need.) After unsuccessful attempts to get the printer to work with my laptop, I called their help desk. The representative was very understanding and offered to try to get my up and running, in spite of their newer printers not always being backwards compatible. In just a few minutes all the proper drivers were installed and I was up and running. The print quality is top notch! Even in economy mode, I am happy with the readability of the printouts. The LCD screen menu is user-friendly and quite understandable. There is also a web-access screen to modify the various settings. I found this to be the easiest way to customize my settings. The web access can also be password protected. My only complaint (a very mild one) is that at times it takes longer than it should to wake up from sleep mode. I adjusted the setting for 15 seconds, but have had to occasionally wait for up to a minute or so for it to actually wake up. When it does, it only takes a moment for the unit to heat up and be ready for printing. One final note: When I purchased this printer, I did not realize that it did not come with FAX capability. When I read that this was an "all-in-one" printer, I had assumed that would include a FAX. I very rarely need a FAX anymore, so I chose to keep this machine. This machine does print, copy, and scan, thus the "all-in-one" description. If you do not require color printouts and are sick and tired of having to refill or purchase replacement ink-jet cartridges, this printer is a fantastic solution!

I wanted an inexpensive printer. So I found this one and thought I would give it a try. It seems to be perfectly fine for a simple printer. Of course, I won't know how long it lasts for some time. Con is that it does not print color, only black and white. That was fine for me, as I hate buying all those color ink cartridges anyway -- that ends up costing more than the printer. It is a little bigger than I would like, but it holds a lot of paper. One note, if you are setting up wireless for it, don't follow the instructions on the CD that is included. I spent an hour trying to follow those instructions, trying to set it up in my control panel etc, googling it etc. I finally ignored what the CD was trying to tell me to do, and just used the touch screen and wala - a couple touchscreen buttons and it was done!

The printer does what it's supposed to do; print fast and accurate black and white documents. Wireless is a great feature too, and set up of the device was easy. Price point of this printer is very good.

I replaced a Canon printer with this and it was the best thing I have done in a long time. I love this printer; it is fast, it is quiet, it is easy to set up and it was well worth the price! I have a small home based business so it does not take up much room either, perfect for every need and I expect to keep it for a very long time! Can't go wrong with this machine

I really like this printer. The print quality is good, and I love that it is wireless and that it prints two sides with no effort on my part. Also, it's really convenient that it is a scanner and copier, as well. In addition, Brother's customer support is fantastic!

I love this printer! I have had Brother printers in the past and this one did not disappoint me. I like the wireless connect and it was so simple to set up, just plug in to my router and and push a button and let the printer do the rest. It has the same crisp print that I am accustom to with the Brother Laser printers and I like the scanner function. This machine is so easy to use and is priced right for home.

I'm really enjoying this printer...great quality, quiet, quick, and simple to use. I wish it was a little smaller in size, but overall, I'm quite happy!

Awesome printer if you just need the basic b&w. It scans, copies and prints! Even prints on card stock! Super easy to set up. I love the wireless feature, you can print from any device and it cuts down on the number of cords dangling from your desk. I purchased this printer during the holidays at a phenomenal price...would do it again, and again!

I bought this for my wife. We have several computers and I thought the wireless aspect would be helpful for her. It works really well. Got it set up on her desktop first, then set up drivers on my desktop and the laptops. Setup was super easy. We use Windows 9/10 on our machines and it was easy to download the drivers. She also got it to work with her android phone and prints quite often with it. So far, we really love it. Print quality is good as well. Will update as time goes by if we have any issues.
