This is my second Brother printer. It now works well; however it had a hardware problem upon arrival. I still rate it as 5 stars because Brother customer service did a great job by replacing the unit.

A great laser printer at good price. Ideal for Home office .

I like my brother laser all in one printer it does everything I need from small jobs to big jobs. I like the WiFi features because I don’t have to be always on my desktop I can be on my laptop in a different room which makes a good feature. I would purchase from the brother brand again.

Printer does a good job except when printing envelopes. I know there is no jam because I open the front door, close it and it prints without any problems. This happens about every fourth envelope.

The printer works well but the control panel is not intuitive. I did not realize that the scanning function only produces a jpeg. My previous printer allowed for scanning into pdfs. If I had known this limitation, I would have purchased a different model.

My positive rating may be in its early stages or the fact that I’ve never owned a laser printer! So far, I’m in love! Prints fast and great quality, from what I can see. This printer has me looking at Brothers in a different way. May just replace my Canon inkjet with one! Brothers is my new Bro :)

Great value for the price and the quality of print. Good introductory inkjet. Could be more consistent. Sometimes you have to adjust the paper tray and sometimes the connectivity could be a little wonky.

Two of us use this printer heavily for a home office, and it's given us zero problems during more than a year of use. Easy setup and use, and I don't think we've even had a paper jam. We love the two-sided printing a copying!

I am really happy with this purchase and would recommend this printer. The printer works great. Took me awhile to figure out where the toner cartridge went. The direction were for several printers and pictures were not the same as the printer I purchased.

Have been using ink jet printers for years and decided to try this Brother Laser printer. I love it. No more messing with ink cartridges. And I can print faster and for less expense. You can still scan and save colored copies. Best printer I have had.

I'm very disappointed that this printer is only useful for printing on basic paper. Anything else, like the specialty paper I need to use, and that should work with a laser printer, prints but then smudges and erodes--making it useless for my purposes. I've tried every setting I can think of, spent many hours trying to get it to work, and now I feel like I need to buy another printer.

Overall the printer has worked very well. Setup wasn’t as smooth as expected. First, wi-fi setup has a hiccup. Second, once the printer has setup printing had smudge on both sides. After contacting their customer service it was the roller which caused smudge. I had to wipe clean the roller and problem went away.  Once all setup problems are fixed so far the printer is working very well.
