We print a lot with 2 of us being in school. And the ink last a lot longer than our cannon. It only prints in black and white but that's not much of a problem for us. Only down side is it needs a few updates when you hook it up to the computer.

I would strongly recommend buying brother printer even if it costs little more than the competitor. You want to buy a printer that last for some time rather than buying other brand for less and keep paying more and more after a breakdown

After much searching I decided on the Brother. I really like it. No hassles with ink or other issues as my previous printer! I am able to use it with no glitches.

So far, I love this printer because I can print wirelessly from my laptop and smartphone ,and I didn't even need to set it up on my phone (Samsung Galaxy S20 5G). I haven't tried the scanner or copier yet.

Reasonable price and quality but 3 disappointments

Reasonable price and performance, but 3 issues: (1.) the print window that comes up provides very few print menu options, which I have never seen before on any printer, (2.) the procedure for hand-feeding single pages for printing is not good, and (3.) the Best Buy website does not indicate that the printer comes with a toner cartridge, and the in-store Best Buy staff confirmed that this printer does not come with a toner cartridge, so I bought a toner cartridge when I ordered the printer. A week later, when the printer arrived at the store and I brought it home, I discovered that indeed there was a toner cartridge packed in the original shipping box with the printer. Bad information and advice from both the Best Buy website and the in-store Best Buy personnel.

Great low volume mon laser printer. Don’t buy for high volume printing as a new platen which lasts for 12,000 pages costs more than a new printer. My church uses it to print checks, so it only prints a few hundred pages a year.

I think this would be a great printer if I could get it to work with Windows 10. A Microsoft update has disabled my ability to install a printer. I have not found a workaround a

Brother printer, not real brother. I only have a sister, but wish I had a brother. I would not recommend this item as a true brother replacement. It prints ink on paper nicely, no issues with that.

Wish I had gone with the laser printer long ago. For anyone not requiring color documents, this is a can't miss buy. A little difficult to set up. Go with the internet set up option versus the supplied CD. Three hours dealing with the CD and no luck, less than 20 minutes with the internet option.

Printer works great the only drawback with this printer is when you shut it off there is no sound (beep, ding or whatever) like our old Brother Printer had, so I have to look on my setting at the bottom of the computer to make sure it says offline.

Fast and reliable printing, Brother is a good brand to use. Just beware if you hook it up in the bedroom... most bedrooms are connected to ARC circuit and this printer can trip is EVERY TIME it turns on or heat up!

Is an average printer. The problems occur if and when you have to switch wifi networks. There is no way to change networks in the printer. I was on the phone for an hour with a Geek to no avail. The lack of keyboard doesn't allow you to enter anything. Took it back for an updated model with keyboard.

    EXCELLENT VALUE FOR MONEY

Easy to set up (even though the instruction guide had pictures of another printer). Definitely very Mac/Apple friendly. All I did was connect the printer to Wifi by manually entering the password. Within minutes our MacBooks, iPhones and iPads were connected and able to print. Even I couldn't believe how easy it was. The only downside (if you can call it that) is the scanner. By default, it saves every scan as JPEG. You will have to manually convert docs to PDF. It operates much quicker than my previous printer (Canon Pixma MG 5500 Inkjet) and makes less noise. The big bonus is the provided starter toner that can print up to 700 pages. That is major savings for moderate home/office users. No more buying expensive inkjet cartridges every few weeks. Phew! Very happy with the product.
