Quick and easy setup out of the box for wireless printing. Was up and running within minutes. Super fast printing as well.

We had an HP printer scanner that worked fine until...a firmware update corruption. HP said to reset the porinrter to factor defaults with a few key strokes. That worked to reset the printer but...the firmware was what needed to be reset. HP disappeared after the first suggestion. OK, a new printer seems to be in order and not an HP. I have a Brother HL-L2140 that's worked for ever. We looked at printer scanners and settled on the HL-L2390DW. It has automatic double sided printing, the HL2140 was manual. It doesn't have a scanner document feeder but we don't scan page after page of anything. The LED display is MORE than fine for set-up. The complaints seem unwarranted as it is plenty easy to see and use. We print from the PC or tablets software, so a fancy display in the next model was good money after bad. May as well spend a more and get a automatic scanner document feeder at that point. I used the WiFi on the 2.4 GHZ band and everything in the house can now use the printer with the Brother sourced Print and Scan software for Android or Apple products...and of course W10. The set-up was super easy and the overall system works like a champ. The tables all have a weird way to request a print from a screen but that isn't Brother's fault. The printer warms up quickly to first print and runs pretty quietly too. All in all a great printer for the money. SIDE BENEFIT to a BROTHER laser printer... Brother uses a DRUM and TONER as separate cartridges so price shock is reduced and economy is extended. I've NEVER replaced the drum (I have a new one stuck away) on my HL2140 and have used several toner cartridges. I'd say this series of print/scan and print/scan with auto scan feeder models from Brother will make home office people real happy. We don't print often enough that an inkjet will work too well so we use a toner / laser model. Color ink printers HATE down-time on the ink plugging up. For a WiFi network printer we could not like it better. Skip the fancy display in the next model as you'll print from the PC or tablet / phone anyway. I can't recall the last time I stood at the printer to print anything. If you do, MAYBE the next model up could be nicer. I'd just go to the auto feeder scan model if I stepped up from this model.

I bought this for college use, I print alot if powerpoints, labs, etc. So far it has been working great. It does not come with a cable to hook up to your laptop so if you don't want to do wireless printing you have to buy it seperately. Wireless printing works great, and I can even print directly from my phone. It scans black/white as well as color, and it even lets you use from different resolutions. Overall definitely reccomend.

Great price for a lazer printer. Love the scan feature, love to be able to print from my smart phone.

Printer works very well for the price paid. Fast and ink last for a very long time compared to my prior inkjet. Would highly recommend for the savings alone in Ink.

Decided to upgrade my old Brother printer to a one with a scanner. The setup was super easy, although you need a usb cable to set the wireless connection first; afterwards all my mobile devices connected in seconds. I can print from my phone, iPad, chromebook and PC from any room wirelessly!:) A big change after having a printer connected by a cable. Overall, I am very happy with the new printer and I love double sided printing as well.

Good price and very easy to set up. I’ve had printers in the past that didn’t want to print if it sat a while without use. This one prints just fine even if waiting months between uses.

Easy to use and a fairly simple set up. Makes decent copies and has a inexpensive toner cartridge.

You will not be disappointed with this printer. If you're looking for a printer that has duplex printing, high quality printing on all types of paper and does not cost an arm and a leg, this is a printer for you. It's fast, works with wired and wireless devices and there are drivers available for everything. I have saved tons of paper and have high quality printing and lots of printing options at a price that you can afford.

I purchases this printer as a replacement for our inkjet in the home office. The inkjet printer kept drying out from sitting so long with very little use. We decided to go with a laser printer to get around this issue. So far the print quality is good, the flexibility with AirPrint and Google Cloud Print is awesome, and knowing that we will only need to replace the toner when we actually use all of it is awesome.

Picked up this printer from the store a week ago and it was real easy to setup. Haven't had and issues yet and prints good quality black n white.

I really love this printer. It's fast and dies the job. Sadly I gave it 4 stars because it is a tad loud. Toner wise it lasts a long time and is cost effective. I love the wifi capability which I had 0 problems setting up. I also like printing direct from my phone. Sadly Best buy also didn't have the stock of the color version I wanted but this one turns out to do the trick on 99% of the things I need. Thanks Brother for making a quality product

This printer does the job well for the small amount it costs. It's a basic laser printer with no color, but it does have wireless capability. You have to configure it initially by connecting it to your PC via a USB cable, but once that is done it's a breeze to print to. One other thing to note is that it DOES NOT have a network port for you to connect to your local network. Connectivity is provided via USB or wireless only. I might've went with a different model if I had realized this up front.

I bought this Brother printer to replace my 14 yr old Brother laser printer. The original printer served me very well but after 14 years, the feed rollers began to skew the sheets and cause a paper jam. I selected model HL-L2390DW because it has a scanner which my old printer did not. This is a much quieter printer and the quality is excellent. Also, the controls are up front which makes it much easier to read the status window. Great printer at a great price. Also a standard replacement toner cartridge is only about $45, which is well below the price of other manufactures prices.

I am very happy with this printer. We needed a basic black-and-white laser printer, and this fits the bill perfectly. Unboxing and setup was a breeze, and the whole process took about 15 minutes until I was printing my first test page. Text is what I expect from a laser printer: dark and crisp. Graphics are clear and evenly shaded. The printer is fast for machines at this price and pleasantly quiet. I appreciate that I can make a copy without turning on the computer. Very efficient. It also functions as a scanner, though I have not tested the scanner functionality yet. I would not hesitate to recommend the Brother HL-L2390DW.

This printer works well and meets all of my needs. I use it for printing and scanning. I like the fact that it has a drum ink cartridge. Setup is easy. Scanning works seamlessly. Copies are clear and printing is fast.

Excellent choice for a laser printer. Easy to setup and easy on the wallet. $149.99 retail price is a steal for a great laser printer. Entering my WiFi password was a long and enduring process. Gotta get a better button interface.

Easy to setup. Software had a lot of updates which slowed the process down. However, once installed, prints and runs great.
