Needed a printer that prints just black for my receipts and programs and documents, this printer fits the bill and does it all, the great thing about it is you can buy a printer toner for 98 bucks that yields 12,000 pages, after your startup cartridge runs out , that will probably last me 10 years or more, you can’t go wrong for a printer, copier, and fax machine plus It was on sale and I saved 70 bucks. I feel Brother’s is a quality name and I’ve always had luck with their printers/copier/fax in the past. Also, I bought the warranty for $9.99 that covers everything for 2 years and you can renew for another 2 years after the first 2 years runs out....Love it

Not much more to say than the title, plugged it in, typed in the wifi password and boom, it worked on two Macs & two iPhones flawlessly. The copier/scanner feature works well too, the scanner took a little more to set up but once it was done, it works well and emails me the pdf right away every time. Couldn't ask for more from a compact printer, especially at this price!

I’m pleased with it. I’m not a techy person, and I was able to set it up and print within 5 minutes after getting it home. I use it to print text-based documents and the quality of the printing is very good.

My father was finally tired enough of the ridiculous cost of ink cartridges to consider a laser printer. (We bought this one for the price of eight black cartridges.) He's very impressed with the quality of the prints, as you would expect, and the user experience for everything he needs it to do is simple enough that he doesn't feel intimidated. I have a slightly fancier Brother laser printer of my own, and I love it.

Super easy to set up (but still need to work through how to hook up my work PC). Prints great, copy's great, wireless worked quickly.

I was looking for an inexpensive printer for everyday printing of text. The printer is fast, was easy to set up, and the toner cartridges are much less expensive than my ink jet cartridges. In addition there is a scanner that works well for occasional use with good quality results. It will quickly pay for itself by lowering ink costs.

Fast and Quiet and easy to use. Good for small or large printing jobs

I still had my HP Laserjet 4 printer. But, it was getting old. So I bought this as a replacement. It's quiet and prints quickly. The bootup was fast. It was fairly easy to setup on the network. This doesn't have a fax but I knew that from the beginning. The toner seems fairly cheap. I just hope the drum lasts a while as that's the expensive part to replace. After 2 months, no issues as of yet.

Got this because Brother products are pretty reliable and intuitive to use. Set up had some problems to solve due to poor design of CD instructions (steps you would go through would still show up as if still not done, unless you sat and watched the screen the entire time to know what steps had actually been completed, etc.). Hoping to have a reliable no-nonsense printer that does not poop out on me in a couple years. Glad to not have to deal with insanity costs for inkjet cartridges.

This all-in-one wireless printer is very convenient as I can put this printer anywhere and didn’t have to take up work space next to my computer. It was easy to set up right out of the box and serve my purpose well. The only downside, or may be I haven’t figured it out yet is that it doesn’t scan directly into pdf. I have to scan, save the file and then print to pdf. It can scan and save only one page at a time so if I have to email someone a two page document, I have to attached each page separately.

Got this after having 2 inkjets, much happier with this. The toner lasts longer, and you don't have deal with dried up cartridges (that are still one-third full). Easy to use, good connection to wifi, like the automatic 2 sided printing and that I can set up my own printer profiles. Use for scanning docs / photos as well as printing

We bought this laser printer and have enjoyed printing from it. We can connect laptops and our cell phones to print. This product was chose because we owned a jet ink color printer and it was so expensive to buy the ink and the cartridges didn't last as long. So far we have been very satisfied and easy to use.

This thing is great; works well, has good quality in printing and scanning, and nicest of all is super user friendly and easy to use! I’ve had printers before that have been a struggle to set up and use each time, but with this you just set it up once, and it’s super easy to figure out and use each time. Only con is that it does take up a lot space though.

I had been dealing with HP printer ink refills for way too long and when I saw the price and reviews for this I decided it's worth 2ink refills, no brainer, so ordered and it was shipped right out. Fast easy setup and was using it ten minutes later, including the wireless connection. Very satisfied with everything and the print quality is perfect.

Printer is easy to setup and very well integrated iOS and android app. Print quality is very good and has option for the dual side printing option.

I love our new Brother Printer. It prints, scans, and copies. We previously had a large Brother Printer that also had fax capabilities. Since we no longer have a land line we no longer could use the fax. We also wanted to have a smaller footprint and more space on our desk. This is perfect. I trust Brother to make a good product and have used them for years.

it is very fast and reliable and no wire needed for printing

Like everyone else, I found myself in need of a printer to work from home. This does the trick. Black and white so no need for a bunch of color cartridges. Easy to set up and register with Brothers. Prints from iPhone no problem. Very pleased with the purchase - highly recommend. It also scans well!

This printer serves my needs well. My needs are: easy to set up and connect to laptop wirelessly; basic print and copy functions in black ink, usually single copy, 2-sided, one to several pages, 2-3 times/week (i.e, not a high-volume user!), at a reasonable pace; and reliable/consistent - all of which it has met so far. I did find the instructions, both the printed ones in the box and the on-line ones, to be not as clear and helpful as I would have liked, but even though I'm not very tech-savvy, I was able to get it set up and working with a wireless connection to a laptop.
