Although I've had the machine for a while, I just set it up. Setup was pretty easy and the material I printed looks really good. I didn't give it 5 stars simply because I don't have much experience with it.

Thus far, this printer has been great. Clean printing, and we are still ok our first cartridge of ink despite putting a hefty workload on it. There is nothing fancy about it but it does the job well.

Pros: Excellent quality printed documents. I like the options for printing and scanning and that you can email scanned documents right from the printer. The main control screen is well lit and clear for reading and navigating. Paper and toner loading are both easy. Cons: When printing over wifi, have to go to the machine and click on “Recover WLAN” if the printer hasn’t been in immediate use. I find this frustrating: I would rather that my computer or phine sending info to the printer wakes it up. Instead, I must physically walk to the printer and click on Recover WLAN. Also, the app did not work for me - maybe the app would wake it up? Still...should wake upon being pinged with info on the network. I followed all instructions on the app, registered the device, tried 3 times and never got that to work. I have an iPhone, latest OS. Finally, while the center menu is clear and well lit, the side menu for "Home" "Go back" and "Stop" has no backlighting at all. It is often impossible to read without an overhead light. I wish Brother had simply backlit the whole menu. Odd design choice, decreases functionality. Overall, mostly happy. Print quality is carrying the happiness load - really is excellent.

I really need a printer. My cousin recommended this one for me. I brought and used it. I like it very much. I’m glad I listen to my cousin.

printer is what I expected and more. Easy to use and rated highly by Consumer Report. Dont use Brother's support for they have been hacked by 'spamsters.

Decided to purchase this rather than an inkjet printer. Setup was easy, it prints perfectly. Printing is clear and crisp. I would (and have) recomend this to others.

It’s easy to use and the copies/print are very crisp and easy to read. It’s also pretty quick as far as turnaround.

I returned another model. This is nice, simple, mostly easy to use. My biggest frustration is that my previous brother laser printer had the next and finished buttons for double sided printing reversed so I kept hitting the wrong button for a while. Considering how long the previous one lasted and usage I got out of it... I have high expectations for this one. Time will tell.

So far the Brother - HL-L2480DW has performed as expected and is the answer for our printing needs.

Great printed copies. No color, but that's not why you get a laser printer.

This printer is a great value for the price. The copies are very clear and can be high-lighted without smearing.

I really like this printer, it was a little confusing to set up. Once I got it, it works fast, prints from iPad and iPhone. So many things it does, prints, scans copy.

Great black & white laser all in one. Super easy to install. Had it up and running in 15 minutes as a Network printer although I’m a tech dummy. If I buy a color in future it will be Brother brand

Finally got rid of ink and the high cost. Since I use low volume the ink only evaporates. For a few dollars more upfront you get better quality too
