Small business owner
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.WOW, Can't believe the quality of this laser printer for the price. This one is a GREAT deal ! No wonder many stores were out of printers before the holiday season. One of the printers costs more than $1000 and the print quality is almost the same as the HL-3270. For our office use of printing the HL is very affordable. LV

Great Little Home Office Printer
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted a small laser printer for my home office and this one hit everything I needed. Not great for printing pictures but that's not what it's used for. Perfect for printing out handouts of presentations and general office printing.

Solid all-arounder
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This printer replaced a Brother HL-4040CN I owned for 10 years. This one is smaller, lighter, and does not feel nearly as well built--the 4040 was built like a tank--but the build quality is reasonable for a home office printer. Print jobs are acceptable quality for text and graphics. I don't print photos on a laser printer, so I can't comment on photo quality. Brother bundles a bunch of useless proprietary software with their printers these days, so be sure to do a custom install of the software package to ensure you're only installing what you need. One of the programs in the suite is exclusively for multi-function printers with scanner capability, which this printer lacks. I guess it was cheaper to create one disc for all printers instead of customizing the software disc to the capabilities of the printer. Recommend the product, especially if you print a variety of job types, but if you're willing to accept some risk in reliability or willing to buy a printer that excels in one area while relatively weak in other areas then you may find better value elsewhere. Also, the outcry about Brother intentionally understating the print capacity of the included toners is loud, long, and consistent. I haven't gotten to the dreaded 400-page mark, when most users report toners start running empty, but I made the assumption I would need to replace the toners at 400 pages, and recommend you make that assumption as well.

great printer for home and school
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm a college student and this printer works great for my needs. It's super easy to set up and use. I love the wireless printing and double-sided printing capabilities. I've printed off my iPad, iPhone, and MacBooks with no problems. It can handle heavy print jobs like a 40-page report without an issue. It's also good if you sometimes go weeks without printing. It will print again without a hitch.

Nice printer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was not sure what printer to buy, I was looking for a color laser printer and seen this one at Best Buy and it was a good deal so i bought it. I did not realize until it arrived that it was an LED printer similar to a laser printer but uses led light instead of laser. Have only used it a couple of time but seems to work well and was easy to set up on the network. duplex feature works great.

Brother HL-3270CDW is great quality and value
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The printer was shipped directly to my home. It arrived on time - and was faster and easier than getting a 50 lb. box from the store. (the printer itself weighs just over 40 lbs.) It installed easily and has worked perfectly since. It is a great value for full color laser class printer. It uses LED's instead of a laser, and the packaging refers to it as a digital printer. It operates like a laser printer in that it uses dry toner and electrostatic imaging drums. This is a replacement for an Epson inkjet printer that only lasted less than 4 years - as the print head clogged and parts were no longer available. The advantage of this printer is that dry toner does not have a shelf life and does not have to be used very regularly before drying out and wrecking the printer. The compromise is that toner color is not as deep or rich as inkjet print color - and so it is not really aimed at printing photographs. So far, I am extremely happy with my purchase!

Great for home office
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for my home office to replace an old inkjet printer. The setup was very simple and it puts out a quality product. I'm not using it for photo quality prints but when I do need to print a picture on 8.5X11 paper, it looks great. For the price, I couldn't be happier.

Beautiful color prints
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This printer was easy to set up and it works like a charm. Upgraded from an old Brother monochrome printer which was working great - just needed the witless and color features. As far as I’m concerned Brother makes the best laser printers. The toners are reasonably priced and there are some after market ones on Amazon that are exceptional.

It's going back.....it's slow and quality subpar
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's slower than my old one. I replaced my old laser printer because it was lagging and slow and the "newer" replacement is even worse. It takes almost 30 seconds just to start printing and it pauses every 6 sheets and tells me it's "cooling down". Every 6 pages it needs a cool down????? No thank you. The reason we spend more for laser printers is supposed to be for speed. The color print is also not as high quality as my previous laser printer. I am currently looking to return this and find another option.

Nice color printer
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great little printer. Don't do a lot of color printing but when you need a little color it works great. Photos look nice enough for me. The toner cartridges are expensive but so far I am still working on the original set. Never had a problem with it and it connected to the wireless network instantly.

Awesome value
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was skeptical buying this printer. Our old printer was a former $1,000 Oki color laser and it served us well for a decade. So imagine shopping for a new printer and seeing this one at such a low price, with specs similar as more expensive printers. I am beyond satisfied with this printer. Super easy setup, wireless connection, super fast and very quiet.
