I am very happy with this printer! It was easy to install on our network and works well with my MacBook. With the app I can print from my phone and my iPad. I love that it works wirelessly!

I thought it would print a little better but I've had it only a few weeks so I'll give it time. What was odd was that right away the printer kept saying it was running out of ink after about three copies. All the literature keeps warning you that you don't get much ink and that you should sign up to buy more. I was afraid that might happen since the last color printer I owned about 10 years ago was free but the toner was very expensive. I thought that may have ended but not so. I do like my old black and white Brother printer so that's why I bought this one.

This Brother printer is a very heavy machine at almost 50 pounds. But that does make it seem like it will be durable and hold up to lots of printing. The setup and installation was easy. Each of the four toner cartridges had protective coverings that had to be removed and reinserted, but I'm sure this protected it during shipping. I really like that this can be Wireless or plugged in using a USB port (which I prefer).
The paper tray holds more paper than my other 2 printers (I think 250 sheets), which is convenient.
This is a color printer and copier and also has a flatbed scanner.
I really like the Brother iPrint & Scan software and Paperport which comes with it on the installation disk. I use both constantly.
The print quality is adequate for everyday printing. It will be interesting to see how long the toner cartridges last compared to ink cartridges. It is a very fast printer, which is nice for high volume printing. I probably won't use it for printing photos, but it's perfect for daily office needs.
Other advantages include quietness and duplex printing.

I'll admit, i'm not a super tech geek, but I work in healthcare data information systems and have always had no trouble configuring my devices on my home wifi network, until now. I have downloaded additional drivers, I have downloaded the Brother Iprint & Scan app for my mac book as well as iPhone, I have added the printer to my local network as a trusted managed device...yet, I still have to manually re-connect the printer to the network, and re-connect it via USB to actually re-establish a PC to printer connection. It is the most frustrating thing in the world. I value wireless connectivity maybe more than print quality and ink efficiency as I really don't use it for photos or heavy colored graphics. I am so disappointed in my purchase and daily find myself getting pre-annoyed at the thought of printing or scanning something. I have had this a month now and can't just return it, or I would. Oh and the Brother online support takes you through the same ineffective loops which has resulted in me downloading the drivers 3 separate times, including an added driver, and still nothing.
Very disappointed in Brother. I had zero (wireless) problems with my cheapie HP Deskjet.

used for our home office printing needs. toner is pricey. i was looking for a copier, printer and fax and it said all in one and I assumed that it meant "all" but i guess that's what i get for not reading closely. it is a copier, scanner and printer only. no fax

Love our new brother printer. Was frustrated that the company just doesn’t seem to get them out the door. And or at least give us some info on when available. We feel that Brother is a very high quality machine for the money

I think I have an new company. I have been buying HP laser printers forever. This is my first brother and man it is so much nicer. The drivers arent bloated like HP. Easier to setup on a network and the toner cost is more reasonable than HP.

Operationally it works fine. Too soon to rate toner consumption.
It has easy WiFi setup & app to scan/print from. Only shortcomings IMO is not having an ADF (automatic document feed) for 2-sided scanning & an Ethernet port (for LAN w/out WiFi).

It prints fast. But it keeps getting jammed. For what I’m using the printer for it doesn’t really work for me. Thinking about returning it. For the price I was expecting more.

Great printer for a small business. It does everything you need it to do without breaking the bank. It's a Brother printer and it appears to have the durability of previous Brother printers I have owned in the past.

We purchased another brand, but after opening the box, found that it not copy or FAX. We returned it into Best Buy and, for the Same Price, bought this color laser Brother all-in-one that is working well and handling all of our needs.

Pros- No crazy error messages, quality print, easy hookup, wifi.
Cons- Going to be expensive for ink when it eventually runs out. No auto feed for what you scan or copy; must use flat screen (not a big deal for our family).

Too soon to really say now since toner is really the make or break when it comes to laser type printers. But for the interim, the printer works without issues. AirPrint is a huge benefit for my kids. Duplex feature is awesome!
