The Scan function is very basic and has very few options. It lacks the selection of many types of documents being scanned. In the past my scanner allowed selection of photos as a source with the option to scan multiple photos at once and store them separately. Instead of providing a control center for the printer each function is accessed through s separate icon. I would rate the functions as not very user friendly.

Good printer for the money

It was very difficult to navigate and it has an error message that there in no paper in tray 1. I did all of the online trouble shooting and even called Brother and walked through same troubleshooting. Too expensive to not print!
