Customers recognize the HL-L3290CDW Wireless Color All-In-One Laser Printer for its easy setup, print quality, and affordable price. Many users appreciate its quiet operation and wireless connectivity. This printer is perfect for our home office. It is very compact for a color laser printer. It is missing some features that my larger printers at work have such as a document feeder, large capacity manual paper feed, and second paper try, but I couldn't afford to use up that much space. Print quality is very good (not crystal clear like the $9,000 Sharp printer in our office, but really good), it can duplex print, and it can print on heavy paper without jamming. The wireless print is also great as I can press print while outside and the document is ready by the time I walkbto the printer. It is exactly what we were looking for to be able to work from home.

This is my second Brother copier -- I think that the first did not have so much as a paper jam in the first five years I owned it. I still do own it, but handed it down while I upgraded to the present model. It has color, two-sided printing, scanning and copying, all of which worked perfectly the first time. I print sporadically, and even after periods of several weeks of no use, the first copy comes out clean and the toner seems to last forever. The only downside of these copiers is that they have eliminated a rich mine of material for stand-up comedians! This is not a criticism, as the set up was not complex and did not take long to accomplish. I do wish, however, that someone would produce a "conceptual" setup set of instructions, in addition to the typical list of commands. For example -- "For a computer and a new printer to communicate through an existing WiFi network, you must assign the printer a unique identifying name. To make such an addition, you must have the password for the network (most have a password), and the "admin" password for the computer. Computer operating systems vary somewhat in which information needs to be toggled in through the instruction device on the printer, or can be typed through the computer keyboard. For Apple systems, it's generally...."

Loved the laser like print quality. HATE the documented problem with the printer going to sleep after every print job requiring to be powered off/on to get WiFi printing to work. I scoured the web and other blogs for a solutions to no avail. The printer doesn’t forget my wireless network, but just isn’t available to print without being powered off & on. Returning ASAP before the return window closes. Brother, get it together!!

I decided to buy this Brother color laser printer because my previous mono laser printer was Brother and really reliable. Good decision and love to use this. But be aware; it is quite bulky and heavy. measure dimension of the place where you plan to put it first.

Brother printers are the absolute BEST printers on the market! These things don't break and they get lifelong online automatic firmware and driver updates. Plus, the cartridges can be bought in the Large capacity versions. I will never buy any other brand. Period. LOL

Machine seems nice, but can't get Airprint to recognize the machine. I've been reading online help all weekend and currently I'm hold with support for 1:00:52. Could NOT be more frustrated for something that probably is simple. How can you rate quality and value when you can't get it to work. I will say connecting to my computers was very easy.

This printer is great for working from home. It only scans one sheet at a time but is simple to set up. Make sure to pull out the small tray for printed paper. If not, the paper will curl down and slide right into the blank paper tray and will feed back through. This will give you a "paper jam" error. It prints quickly and is a compact size.

So far this has been a very reliable laser printer that doesn’t completely break the bank. Obviously you should expect to pay more upfront for a laser printer but in the long run save as cartridges don’t need replaced with the frequency of a standard printer. Easy to setup the WiFi way on the unit, clarity of printed pages is very good.

We found the Brother to be an ok printer for our use. Actually, it seems pretty slow, compared to our first Brother printer. It takes a while to download data, then prints fairly fast. The colors do not seem very vibrant, but we don't use it for pictures.

I LOVE THE PRINTER BUT IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS SETTING UP THE WI-FI WITH YOUR APPLE COMPUTER - CALL APPLE SUPPORT. I MADE A HUGE MISTAKE BY EMAILING "BROTHER" FOR ASSISTANCE. IMMEDIATELY A WINDOW SHOT DOWN ON MY SCREEN THAT I MUST ENTER MY CREDIT CARD INFO TO CHARGE MY ACCT. $1.00 PRIOR TO TAKING ANY QUESTIONS. THE NAME OF THE SERVICE COMANY IS CALLED "JUST ANSWER." IF THE SERVICE IS NOT CANCELLED IN 7 DAYS YOU ARE CHARGED $46.00. I GOT "NO" HELP FROM THEM. EVERY TECHNICIAN WAS FROM THE PHILIPPINES. THEY GAVE ME A LINK TO A VIDEO WHICH WAS "NO" HELP AND I LET THEM KNOW THEY WERE NOT HELPING ME AND CANCELLED THEIR SO-CALLED ASSISTANCE PRIOR TO THE 7 DAYS. THEY STILL BILLED MY ACCT. $46.00. I DISPUTED THE CHARGE HOWEVER IT LEAVES ME WITH MORE FRUSTRATION AND ANOTHER HASSEL TO GET THIS CHARGE REMOVED FROM MY ACCOUNT. A HUGE HEADACHE & MORE WASTED TIME. I END THIS WITH STATING THAT (APPLE SUPPORT) WAS EXCELLENT AND WALKED ME THROUGH WHICH TURNED OUT TO BE A "VERY SIMPLE PROCESS" TO CONNECT MY WI-FI TO THE PRINTER.
