Set up was okay. However horrible picture quality. Everything is like the ink has been out for centuries… barely any ink on the print.

The Brother INKvestment Tank MFC-J1215W is a game-changer! It prints sharp text and vibrant colors, and the ink lasts forever, saving time and money. Setting it up is super easy, and the wireless connection works flawlessly with phones and computers. It’s compact, quiet, and handles printing, scanning, and copying like a pro. Perfect for home or small office use — highly recommended!

Setup was easy. so far printing okay. Have not noticed any slowness, but it's been mostly single pages. Using it in wireless mode and no issues noted in connecting.. Also able to connect from mobile.

Needed a new printer with wireless capabilities. So far so good. We don't print much, so we haven't been able to test it out fully. Only negative so far was that it took a few cleanings to get it to print properly.

Basic printer. Software looks like it’s from the 90s but it works so all good. Major note: If you print double sided pages, you do have to MANUALLY flip the pages. It also prints ONE COPY at time so if you multiple sets with double sided printing, you’ll be at the printer for a bit shuffling papers.

Easy to set up; installing ink and software setup. Haven’t had an issue so far within the past 6 months since purchased. Did a lot of research before making my decision and I don’t regret it!

My wife and I looked and looked for a replacement printer for the Brother printer that crapped out on us. This one seemed to have good reviews, so we bought it. We have used it for over a month now and it works very well. Hoping the ink doesn't go out as much as it did on our other printer. So far, so good. Clarity on printouts is good and it doesn't make a whole lot of noise while printing.

The Brother INKvestmsnt Tank MFC-J1215W Is a very good ink jet printer for a home office setting. Advantages: 1. It is easy to connect wirelessly to your computer. 2. It Will Copy, Print and Scan in color or black and white. 3. Adding Ink to the Tank is a very easy and clean process using Cartridge's that are easy to insert and snap into place. 4. The Quality of the Print is very nice. 5. I have not tried the Fax function since I no longer use a Telco line at my home office. There are 3 concerns with this Printer. 1. The Color prints do take a while to complete although the Black and White prints are relatively quick to exit. 2. Prints on GLOSSY or PHOTO PAPER take a long time to dry, so they should not be touched on the printed area for several minutes and should not be allowed to queue on top of each other until they are removed. 3 The Tray for Holding the Letter or 4 X 6 inch sizes of standard or glossy paper is limited to about 70 pages. You will need to replace the paper reservoir more often.

Solid printer; only thing I don't like is not mentioning what's wrong (ink or paper) that I've had on others. Prints fast, though, and can print a ton of pages

This was difficult to set up, especially connecting to wifi, and printing was bad to begin with. The print heads apparently needed to be cleaned. This was done by a helper because I followed poor directions without success. Scanning parameters had to be changed. None of this should occur with a Brand new machine. Very unimpressed

Printed for one day, then nothing but problems

Had this printer for a week. The first day, it printed like a dream. Brilliant color prints, great front/back alignments, the works. The next day, it decided it was done playing nice. I'd try to print something from my computer, only to hear the printer almost start to engage, then decide to not spool any paper, make a bit more noise, and its status lights would finish blinking and the computer showed it as having printed the document. Only issue? Nothing printed. No paper spooled. Print head didn't move. So I tried turning it off and on again. This time, it spooled a piece of paper to the point of it firing out of the printer like a bullet. Then it went back to pretending like it did its job without printing anything. Not sure exactly what happened, but apparently the next day, the celestial spheres aligned in just such a way that it decided to print just fine again, so I printed a number of photos to try to run the printer through its paces. That day ended with it doing its no-print game again, albeit after several pages of pictures were printed. I decided to try again the next day. Day 3. Printed OK, except it seemed to be tapped out of cyan ink. The gauge showed it as having a quarter of a tank left, but whatever. No blue at all. Fine. Ordered some more to arrive the next day. Day 4. Swapped out the three color ink tanks (black seemed to still have plenty left). Ink error light wouldn't turn off for some reason. Brought up the status monitor on my computer and it said it didn't see a black tank inserted, which is weird because it was the only tank I didn't touch since its initial installation. Fine, whatever, swapped the black tank. Recognized the new one and we were off to the races! Or so I thought. It decided to do the no-print game again. Turned it off and on, still the same thing. Unplugged it and plugged it back in and the first print task did the "shoot a piece of paper like it owed the printer money" trick again, followed by the no-print issue. Oh, and for the no-print issue? I can copy things just fine, albeit with heavy color fade bands across the print, always at the same vertical bands on the page. So clearly it can run prints, it just doesn't feel like doing it when the computer asks it to. I'm at my wit's end with this piece of junk. Don't fall for the sale price.

Firmware Update Should Come W a Warning

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

As long as you never update the firmware, this should work fine. If you do update it, do it when you are ready to replace the ink cartridges. They won't work after the update... Unless you get them from Epson directly, so they claim!? For heavens sake, don't order them from an "authorized Epson retailer" on Amazon!
