As long as you never update the firmware, this should work fine. If you do update it, do it when you are ready to replace the ink cartridges. They won't work after the update... Unless you get them from Epson directly, so they claim!? For heavens sake, don't order them from an "authorized Epson retailer" on Amazon!

Best printer so far, easy to use and is affordable

Happy with the printer but disappointed with the two-sided printing. You have to reload the paper to print the second side.

The item did not have the required cables to connect to a computer and less than 24 hours in refuses to connect via the wps settings, wont print wirelessly and didnt come with the wires to print with a hard connection. Was the first item to pop up whenever "Tank Printer" was searched and is VERY MUCH not a tank printer, takes cartridges. The advertising is intentionally misleading so people can get scammed into having to pay for cartridges over and over again just like with any other normal printer.

Great item and price-your pick-up in store set-up could be a bit more user friendly but I do like the printer and it is working nicely.

Basic cheap printer, easy to set up and use and already with a year’s worth of ink. I buy these printers with one year ink instead of buying ink replacements.

Love my new Brother printer. I would recommend this printer over other brands. I have had others and Brother is better! Very easy to use and set up.

I have an Epson inkjet that's served me well. All color ink ran out at once. That replacement cost is $73.00. The black wasn't going to last too much longer adding another purchase price of $26.00. For $110.00 I can get this printer with the ink lasting a year for the average user. A printer plus a year's worth of ink for virtually the price of ink alone on the Epson printer.

The wireless connection was such a nightmare.... I correctly followed the instructions and it still took me 3 days to finally connect to both my phone and MacBook. For a while it worked perfect and then all of a sudden I couldn't print from my phone or Mac without going through the brother app. This made it difficult because every time I had to print, I had to reconnect the printer all over again. It just made the task of printing a single page 10x harder! Then the quality started to diminish and the printer became slower, to the point where printing one page would take 5 minutes. Overall, it was a horrible experience and I was really trying to be patient with it but as a college student, I really needed the best quality and efficiency for school and this printer was not it. If you need to print something for your finals, don't expect this printer to work so you're better off printing at school!

Excellent printer for the price easy to set up easy to use

Excellent printer. This was purchased to replace my old (10+y.o.) printer. I like the fact that it has very large capacity ink tanks, so that I'm not constantly running out to buy more!

Trouble-free printing & copying at a good price. Ink cost is reasonable. (Don't buy HP!)
