Installed easily and works as it should and well priced.

Purchased this to replace a HP that used a lot of expensive ink. This new printer was easy to set up and after a month we still have ink! The only issue we've noticed is the quality is not as good printing pix directly out of iPhoto.

I researched reviews to determine the best replacement printer for my HP6500a. This printer was very similar. Set up was fairly easy. Print quality is what I expect from this prince range printer. No problems so far. Note: Best Buy and Amazon had the same price. I ordered online and picked up in local store. Very easy process!!

A PROFESSIONAL PERFORMANCE AT A VERY REASONABLE PRICE

This machine , when it prints it is fast and prints well. Problem is too frequent paper jamming . Compared to my previous HP printer, I have used 3 x the paper for normal home use printing.

Very happy works very well. Easy to set up and use.

Put it to hard use and it continues to get the best results.

My new Brother MFC-J985DW is a good printer for private use. I was surprized how easy the printer was installed including the wireless access of our iPads, iPhones and laptops via our own WiFi network. I also expect that the cost for ink will decrease compared to my previous printer.

I like the features and the economy of the ink compared to other printers. The instructions could be better. The utility software that comes with it is not very intuitive at least for scanning. For example, if you were scanning to a PDF, would you click on OCR or File?

The quality of the print is OK, not spectacular, but considering it does not use up ink that quickly, the trade off is well worth it. The ease of it connecting to devices, laptop is perfect. If you do alot of printing and it does not have to be "photo" type quality, this is the perfect printer. Glad I purchased this.

The reviews said it would hook up wirelessly, but it didn't. I called Brother but got a guy with a heavy accent who couldn't fix my problem. I tried using it as a copier and found it didn't print to the edge, which I thought all quality printers did now days.

Prints excellent photos fast and will do all sizes

First time owning a Brother printer. Very satisfied with set-up and printing. Just scanned tax docs - much easier to use than our prior printer. Looking forward to seeing how long the ink cartridges last, as this was the BIGGEST issue we had with our last printer.

I have been a fan of Brother MFC inkjet printers. However, after doing the set-up, I returned this for a different printer. The reason: (1) it is very cumbersome to print photos (although they are of good quality). You have to remove the paper tray, set the paper tray to the photo paper mode, then re-register the unit's software for photo paper, print the photo and then reverse the procedure to put it back in letter paper mode. (2) Standard printing jobs took a long time to start-up and complete printing. Not like other Brother printers I am familiar with.

had this printer for a month, wife uses it for a lot of her church printings, I like the scan feature, easy to use plus the ink is the best part, very economical. runs quiet. Has an Epson for years, this one matches my expectations so far, lets see if I get a good 4 years out of it.
