I got this for relatives. It meets all their needs but is a little slow to print but that is inconsequential.

The physical design and software interfaces look like it's from the 80s. Highlights that it's duplex printing, but neglects to mention that it doesn't support duplex scanning. Wish I could return this.

Very good machine for the price. Not good choice for volume but it works for my small business.

Bought this printer to replace an old Brother model that was constantly throwing paper jams. Works beautifully for a very affordable price.

Very, very difficult to install. Lot's of trouble both from the disc and from a download. Once installed seems perfect. Also does not come with a connection cord to your pc or router and only connects by usb to pc. Seems a little chintzy. Tiny keyboard on screen makes loading information very, very difficult. It is not touch screen.

Bought for work to print patient results of testing. Needed a good color print out. works well.

I don't know if I got a bad unit, or if this is a problem with this printer; but I had a very hard time connecting to this printer wirelessly. I tried connecting through Windows find a printer, and through the Brother software wizard, and neither could connect. The Brother setup wizard implied it wanted to fix the issue by setting a static IP on the printer, but it couldn't even connect to do that. So instead I changed it to a static IP manually on the printer in the network settings. This seemed to resolve 90% of the connectivity issues, but I still sometimes had to power cycle the printer to be able to connect to it. This is fairly annoying, and hopefully something that can be fixed with a firmware update. But once I got it connected it worked pretty well (though I forever lost trust that it could maintain a connection). The document feed scanner is nice, I can load it up with about 5-6 sheets of paper at a time (any more and it started grabbing more than one sheet at a time), and with settings set to grayscale and 200dpi it was fairly quick at scanning everything in the feeder. Initiating the scan from the printer is very nice, and worked well. This will be very helpful with my document management, because I can just scan bills and important documents at the printer, and then deal with them at my computer later. Scan and print quality is fine, very typical of most consumer inkjet printer/scanners you'll find today. I printed a test page and then made a color copy of it, and you'd be hard pressed to know which one was the original. As a photographer, I also wanted to test its photo printing abilities, and it did very well (though not perfect). The prints were very nice, and most people probably wouldn't know you printed them at home, especially 3x5 prints. One 3x5 print took ~5 minutes to print. I also printed several 8.5x11 prints, and one took upwards of 30 mins to print, though the others were a little bit quicker. On one 8.5x11 print there was a large area that was uneven shades of green, and there were two parallel lines of lighter print, like maybe something inside the printer was rubbing on the paper as it was printing and picked up the ink. But there are also a couple other small white spots in the area that make me think that maybe there was an issue with printing. Some other quirks with this printer... they did try to make this printer compact (which it is!), but to save some space there are quirks with this printer. To plug in USB, you have to lift up the scanner portion, and plug into USB basically in the middle of the printer, and run the wire through a track to out the back of the printer. Also, the secondary document loader/tray is in the back of the printer which is inconvenient, if not useless, if you have this printer tucked up against a wall. If you're looking for a color inkjet MFC printer, this isn't bad, but as I find with most inkjet printers, they can be a headache at times to deal with. Also the software that it comes with feels straight out of the 00's. But I will continue with my recommendations to most people, unless you need color printing, get a laser printer.

5 star. Would recommend it to anyone needing a all around printer. It has paid for itself in saving on ink cartridges alone.

Was a little tricky to get the Bluetooth setup, but it has been a good printer upon completion.

Very happy with this printer. Set up was very easy to follow and it works great. I like the extended ink capability.

Effective and well built. Gets the job done. I’d buy this again but won’t have to for a long time!

Only complaint is that I wish the paper loader was of better quality.

I thought was good item for the value I liked the price match

I put the ink in and the directions said to follow directions in the LCD window to set the date and time. Nothing happened, no directions, the window did not light up. Had to call a Tek guy to set the whole thing up. Other than that it prints ok.

Faxing is the biggest problem I have with Printer!!!

I use it for my home office, it does everything I need it to do. Very satisfied
