    We have owned the brother printer for several years and in fact bought it at BB. The ink used to be very inexpensive and has gone up in price over the past couple of years. We tried refillable and they did not work. What a disaster and went right back to the name brand. It holds up well but they cartridges do not empty at the same time.

    Just like the summary, you can never go wrong with OEM ink. I've ordered generic ink from amazon before, and issues always come up, such as ink blotting, misreads/errors on the printer, and etc. Don't say "oh you gotta clean your printer," because it has never happened while using OEM ink cartridges.

    I hate buying ink, it never lasts long enough and it is so expensive. With that being said, Bestbuy always has the cheapest prices, so that it where I will buy it.
