However, the product is a good one. The problem was when the package was open the BLACK INK cartridge was missing. And it was the one I really need it to get the copy machine to work. Went to Office Depot and bought a single BLK cart.

They will not fit into my printer and Best But will not take them back since the package was opened. I do not know how you can check the item for compatibility without opening the package. therefore I am out the full charge for this item. I feel I was mislead by Best Buy for this product.

The number of pages that can be printed with a cartridge is affected by several factors, including paper size, number of pages per print job, amount of print on each page, font size, and print content (graphics, charts, etc.). Print jobs with large text fonts, graphics, charts, and/or large amount of solid coverage (black or any given color) will use much more toner and will shorten the life of the toner cartridge.

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.If you don't use your Brother printer MFC-J497DW very often or turn it on. you would be better off not even buying this ink. the ink simply stops working if you don't use it very often. i had to replace one color(yellow) for my printer to work using black and white only. I haven't printed any color prints or documents since i bought the printer, or replaced all inks about 6 months ago. i just bought this ink the other day because guess what? it wont print because one of the inks is depleted. the cleaning cycle works and drinks the ink every few days and it cycles on any time of day or night. I'm glad my PTSD is under control. any way when this becomes obsolete I will not buy this printer or ink again.
