    Ink lasts very long time. Brother printer is the best after Epson and HP as useless printers.

    Good quality ink. Price is high when generic prices are much lower. The risk with generic is too great though.

    It's not possible to get cheap ink these days, but Best Buy has very good prices on Brother-brand inks. I once got burned buying on an online site (starts with the letter A and has a z in the middle) -- the cartridge I got was genuine, but it expired the previous month! It worked ok -- I think -- but I was worried the whole time. I know buying from BestBuy will have ink with decent expiration dates. Sometimes the date is printed on the box, NOT the cartridge, so it's easy to get scammed.
