I've been using this Brother scanner/printer for about a month and overall I am very pleased with the quality and functionality.. It's pretty heavy and seems fairly well built, and I appreciate it doesn't require a lot of extra space for trays and paper chutes that others often have hanging off the ends. The auto-feeder works well and the scanner is pretty speedy compared to my old one. The first copy prints out in about 15 to 20 seconds from sleep mode, and delivers a solid quality color print. My one complaint is that it took me hours to figure out how to get it to scan documents to pdf files, It's not exactly plug-n-play, with lots of trial and error required, but now that it's working, I am happy with its performance. I did some price comparisons on toner cost among various printers and found the price per page for this machine to be one of the most economical for machines in its class. Very happy with this purchase and would buy it again if I had it to do over.

I bought this printer to replace my Konica Minolta magicolor 2300. I like the wireless features and the scan function is nice. The software that comes with the printer is pretty easy to use and has a very user-friendly interface. I like the fact that I can use this to print from my phone as well in or out of the office. The speed of the printer is not too great and the color compared to my Konica Minolta is a little disappointing. I would not buy this printer to print huge print jobs as the toner does not seem to last nearly as long as my other printer did and it is not nearly as fast there will be pauses during multiple pages. If you are looking for a nice home printer that is better than a Deskjet or inkjet this is a nice printer. If you are looking for a printer for a business to print off brochures or larger print jobs for Flyers this printer probably is not going to be a good choice.

I bought this All in One about a 4 weeks ago as I needed a color laser printer for the home office and @ $299 it can't be beat. I had a brother black laser MFC which has been reliable over the last couple years so I decided to stick with Brother for the next purchase as the price and features on this model are really good. This is a solid unit perfect for small business or home office use. Touch screen lets you navigate the menus with ease and the wireless printing from computers and devices is really convenient, even better you can scan wirelessly and the auto document feeder holds a decent amount of paperwork! Finally no more usb cables!! The print quality overall is good but could be better which is why I gave it 4 stars. Other then that no complaints and I am very happy with the purchase.

I needed a new printer to replace a couple of small color inkjet printers that are too slow for today's pace. I researched Brother printers, and knew that is the brand I would buy. This printer has been great so far. It's still a new purchase, so I haven't put it through it's paces yet, but I am still running the toner that came with it, even after several hundred color pages. That's been a nice surprise. The quality is good on marketing photos, and the printer is fast. If there's any downside at all, it's bigger and heavier than I thought it would be, and it's a little noisier than I expected when it's running. Printing envelopes is a little cumbersome because you have to turn the machine around and undo the back, feeding one at a time. A stack is not possible-use labels instead. So the printer being so heavy, that is a bit of a hassle.Overall, I am very satisfied with the printer and hope it lasts for many years.

I do not use the printer often or for high volume and I do not fax. I got this because I had trouble all the time with liquid ink printers because of the sporadic use. I check on the replacement cartridge prices before I got the printer and these are fairly priced especially for generic cartridges. I plugged in the cable to my computer because the manual and the gibberish in it was not designed for a guy who just wants to use the thing but supposedly you can print wirelessly. It didn't work instantly so I plugged in the usb cable (NOT PROVIDED) I used the one from my old printer. Then my Mac and the printer worked out the details with me just saying yes. Would it work wirelessly now? I will probably never check it works as it is now - why screw with it?

So far this printer has met or exceeded my expectations. When printing graphics, the pictures are clear and the color good. The scanning capability is a major plus. It prints reasonably fast, too. Another plus is that this is an AirPrint machine, so you can print directly from your Apple device, and it also works wirelessly, so you can print from a computer or phone or tablet that is in another room. The price was quite good for a multi-function color laser printer. To date, the only con I have encountered is the "receiving data" message popping up on the LCD panel (which happened to me with a different color laser Brother printer, too). It does not prevent printing, however. Overall, I would purchase this again.

Very happy with print quality, speed and consistency. Wireless printing is not as reliable as wired network or USB connectivity, but that is true of all wireless printers, not just this one specifically. I thought this had an Ethernet connection, but that was my oversight, and no fault of Brother or Best Buy. Almost all of our devices print to it wirelessly: a variety of laptops, PCs, tablets (including Kindles), iPhones, iPods, iPads and Android phones. Replacing all toner cartridges is expensive, but no more so than any other quality color laser printer. I have always been a fan of Brother printers, and the performance of this model lives up to my expectations and I continue to be a loyal customer. Highly recommended.

Set this up on my own, however with an outdated laptop it took longer than expected to instal new drivers. Should've been about 30mins. Very easy to print off iPad/iPhone. Haven't tried the scanned mode yet. However everything else seems straight forward . This printer is a BEAST. It's big, shall upload photos asap. Printing off iDevices needs a print preview mode though. Sometimes fonts are huge, but that's probably the site or link's fault.!Sometimes photos attached aren't printed with it. Maybe there's a way but been busy to look it up. All in all, I like it very much. Doesn't have duplex, I should've read more reviews only. It's always good to know you have it in case you need it. But really, many of us will probably need it.

Read reviews and have had other Brother lasers & feel Brothers are much more reliable than Hp's but I had never had a brother MFC nor a color laser so I took a chance & bought the 9130. The first one went back the first week because it wouldn't hold its connection with my home wifi. Best Buy gave me zero problems in exchanging for a second unit - have had second one for about a month now and have had zero problems with it - as long as it keeps working properly I am definitely happy with the 9130 - does all I need/want - only gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because of having to get a second unit but if the first one had worked properly I would have given this laser a 5 for sure :)

It ran straight out of the box with very minimal set up. I don't need to install any printer driver. Windows 10 automatically identified this printer with no problem. Wireless set up is a breeze. Same, I just need to input my modem's password and it work like a charm. The only thing that I have not played with is the color calibration. My wife is using it for her PrintMaster calendar creator and the colors are off but other than that it works and that what matters. Also, the reason we got a color laser printer is because of the ink. They always seems to dry out and not last very long. I expect these toners to last us a long time. We are not heavy printer and this works for us.

Easy to install. I reccomend have two people remove and place in the location you plan on using it. Though It may be possible for one person. This Brother print prints relatively fast. A tiny bit faster straight from PC then from my phone or tablet (IPhone). I have a standard speed WIFI so nothing special there. Easy to change toner cartridges. Current toner lever right on front and it will also let you know when it's time to order. Settings are easily understood. Duplex printing I myself have not been able to figure out but it's my understanding this print does have this feature. Clear printing.

I don't believe I spent over a 100 dollars on a printer in a few decades. I've continually bought cheap ink printers and a few years later buy a new. I saw this beefy laser printer on sale and decided to give it a shot. I LOVE the interface and utilities for controlling scans and prints. One major drawback. It CANNOT print duplex unless you manually insert the sheet that you want duplex, and then put it back in the same slot CORRECTLY. For a home office business printer, that is pretty hokey. But since I rarely print duplex it isn't a deal breaker, I just expected a little better. It was the only feature on my old cannon inkjet that I was impressed with.

This is my first laser printer for home so I was very excited to be getting one and its color! This is a great printer overall but there are two things I don't like....1) it's big!!! Takes up a lot of space. 2) Although it does have a double sided printing feature it is not automatic. It requires you manual feeding through a slot on the front and that is a pain. It's also pretty noisy when printing but that really isn't a concern add it does such a great job on anything I've printed so far. The colors aren't ad vivid as I'd like but again I'm happy overall add it's purely for home use.

I bought this MFP because I was tired of ink being dry every time I wanted to print something. I also wanted the added cloud benefits. This printer will link to Onedrive, Onenote, Google drive and a few other cloud storage providers for scanning. This also links to google print to allow you to print from your mobile device and can be shared between family/friends through the google print management. Only problem I have had, which may be due to bad home wiring since it didnt start happening till I moved, but occasionally I have to power cycle it due to it not waking up from sleep.

The printer is good bang for the buck,. Cons: In order to scan you need to install the full software package on the CD Drive. Scanning with Adobe should should not need that hassle. The reason it lost a star is Wireless does non support 5 GHz for this sole reason I need to have 2.4 GHz turned up. The printer is heavy and bulky. When it spins up to print makes quite a bit of sound. Pro: Reasonably fast Generic cartridges are easily available without breaking the bank. Does Duplex scanning has separate slot for Envelope and Check printing (Manual Feed)

Almost as good as 9340 but no duplex or flashdrive

This 9130 is cheaper than the 9340 model by $50. Then, with a current sale it went lower by another $100. It's almost as perfect as 9340, both very similar, except 9130 has no duplex printing, duplex scanning and slot for you to insert a flashdrive. I download the driver from Brother's website and was able to print wirelessly from my pc right away. I also installed Brother iPrint on my Andriod and I can print photos and documents on my phone wirelessly as well. Quality of photo is acceptable. It's all good.

After spending a fortune on ink jets and then spending almost $75 with new ink trying to trouble shoot my HP photo smart printer, I decided I had enough!! My Teens convinced me the laser color printer was way to go. So far, been quite happy with it. Speedy and good quality. I never printed photos at home anyhow. I just have a habit of adding copies by pressing display screen when it is not lit. The true test will be when the cartridge needs to be replaced. Best buy even matched the best price, way to go!!

This is a nice unit but it doesn't have hard wire network compatibility, why it would have wireless connectivity but not wired is beyond me, other then that the unit works well, takes a bit to spool the print job but then prints quickly, app printing on the iPhone is easy. For the $ this unit is much more practical then an inkjet, the replacement toner is only slightly more then ink but won't dry out like ink does so for that alone it's worth buying. Print quality is good even on regular paper.

We bought this so we could have a way to network scan and save pdf files to our server and print in color without having to go to the third floor. So far it works great. Be warned! There is no Ethernet port, it is wifi only! Unfortunately our network is not wifi so I had to hook it up through a user pc and share it so everyone could use it. No Ethernet port is a negative but there is a fairly easy solution. It does everything else fine and as long as your network is wireless you will have no issues.

I decided to go with brothers instead of hp this time around. It's a Great printer for standard printing, took longer to unpack than setup on my wireless network, it could not handle the heavier weighted paper(card stock), needed for invitations we were doing, it kept jamming even with manual feeding. Print and scanning speeds are definitely faster than any of my hp printers that have died on me. Colors look fine, would def recommend this printer but only time will tell.
