This printer was pretty easy to install. I love printing from my phone. I have not been able to print through NFC but that is probably user error

Normal mode quality = draft mode of other printers

Pros: Fast normal mode printing Has Fax functionality Cons: Normal mode printing quality is similar to draft mode printing quality of other brands inkjet printers. Black color ink is not as dark as those on HP or Canon Pixma I bought this printer primarily for its 4.5 stars review rating and because it has fax functionality. I soon noticed that its print quality in normal mode (using Windows 10) is equivalent almost like draft mode quality of HP Envy or Canon PIxma printer. Print quality can be improved by choosing best quality in printer device configuration. However, that means much slower printing speed. When printing via AirPrint, normal mode is always the default because Airprint doesn't let you choose quality settings. This means AirPrint quality is inferior when compared to AirPrint of other printer (again such as HP Envy and Canon Pixma). Unless you must have fax function, I would not recommend this printer. (I would rate it 2 stars if it does not have fax functionality).

This new printer was recommended to me by a salesman who was very knowledgeable of computers and printers. He especially recommended it for my photography printing needs. It's a great purchase.

Very easy to set up and use. Set up for sisters - one mid 80s and one late 90s. Both able to use with ease.

I was a long time HP user, then Win 10 came along and HP decided to mothball my perfectly good photo printer by not offering a software/firmware upgrade to support Win 10. I chose the Brother because it offers the same quality prints and photo printing, plus automatic double sided printing and even prints from a cell phone thru WiFi (you gotta get the app on your cell phone to do this first). It is a great and speedy printer that also offers very good photo quality. I am gonna buy one for my Mom & Dad.

Print quality is good. I bought it because it nicely fits inside my desk printer drawer. The automatic document feeder works well. Know that it scans only one side, not both sides of the page. For two sided documents, you need to flip and scan again. Then, merge the pages manually. I rarely need to scan two sided documents. So, not an issue for me.

Easy to setup. No issues so far. Ink changes much easier than in previous printers I've owned. Big selling point was the ability to use high capacity ink, which is much cheaper by page.

After my last printer (HP) died after a great life the offerings from them were all the big Officejet units. With my setup that meant I would be constantly hitting the jutting paper tray with my shoulder. This Brother, which I've never tried before, was four inches less in depth. Perfect fit. How does it do it? It prints sideways! The paper is loaded sideways and prints top to bottom. Infinitely quieter than the older HP but not as fast. Envelopes still must be loaded after the other paper is taken out but can be loaded more than one at a time once configured. It's not as tall as the auto loader has to be opened from the flat top and it's tempting to set things on any flat space in an office. Dare I say again, thing things is almost silent without the odd clangs and cycles the HPs were known for. This is for the home and not a real office but so far it's been great. Oh yeah, It's really quiet too. You can actually forget it's on.

It's a pretty good printer. It does print a bit slow(5-10 sec/sheet) like others have said but for someone like me who only prints things from time to time it doesn't really matter. I like the fact that it's all in one and I can print from my phone easily. You just have to download an app. Overall I'm satisfied with my purchase.

So far so good. Only issue I have found is that you are not able to have both wired LAN and wireless LAN active at the same time.

I've had this printer for about a month now and although I only use it for basic printing from the internet and scanning of receipts I can say that it does those two functions quite well. It has many other capabilities such as faxing and printing pictures but I'll probably never use those. I got it on sale for $99 so I'm happy about that. I've never had a Brother printer before but at least so far I'm happy with it.

This is a good printer so far! Doesn't give me a two-sided printing option from printing and seems to print lighter than most.

Quality of color printing is less than average. Liked the ease of scanning into an email. Did not like the direction of the feed of the paper. Could not run anything thicker than pretty thin cardstock. Probably OK for just document printing, but didn't meet my needs.

Had this for about a month. Got it for my husband for Father's Day and we haven't had any issues with it. My hubby is pretty picky and he really likes this, so that's says a lot. For me, it looks nice and does what it's supposed to do. Getting it at a discounted price, didn't hurt either.
