For sixty dollars you can't go wrong with this all in one. It is awesome! The printer is conservative on ink and has less expensive refills than HP or Epson . Also this unit is totally wireless so you can print from multiple devices. You can use it as a fax machine. It's well built for the price and the scans are crisp and beautiful . As an artist and developer I have used much more expensive equipment and can say that I have no regrets about this purchase.

Love my new printer, love the scanning too. I don't print much. Space saver. First time getting a Brother printer, usually I buy HP's. Thought I'd try another great printer brand. I'm very happy with it. Easy to setup, just following the instructions. Popped the CD in and installs the software and drivers. Scanning multiple pages is simple and easy to do.

This is an exceptional multipurpose printer, for a price that is hard to beat. Very easy to use and set up right out of the box. Excellent wireless connectivity. The separate inks are a great idea as well. Less costly than HP, and the unit has a much better build quality.

This was well worth the very low price. The set up was a cinch, the printer worked perfectly right away, no problems. And the toner is low cost. I think this is far superior to the much pricier HPs and Epsons that I've bought in the past. I would stick with Brother in the future.

Setup was very easy. I didn't need the Fax line to work, just needed a printer that can print wirelessly on devices and on my desktop. It was awesome it can print from my phone (using the app or if it detects the wifi from any device) and also when i scan my papers/docs i can email it to myself, which is great. It's in PDF file so i can basically save it for important times. This is a handy home/small business printer. And did I mention, it came with free ink, so it's pretty efficient! I've already went out to buy my Black ink, but ey,, i saved money by doing Price Match with other stores so i bought both (just the black) inks for under $25!! Happy with my purchase!

Got the printer just because we needed a new color printer. Turned out to be a nice bonus that it has a fax built into it... because there are some times when you need to fax stuff. It's been easy to setup and easy to use. It is not obvious looking at the box, but everything (like the paper tray and to output) are all accessible from the front if you need to tuck the printer in something of a cubby hold.

Love this printer. Easy to set-up. Have been using it for printing, scanning and making copies. Does not need fax yet so far. I like that I can print from my iPhone and iPad anywhere in the house. Prints double side too. Ink does not easily run out.

Very very easy to set up. Hooked up to my wifi with no problem and download the software very quick. Had no problem printing for my phone just downloaded the app and I was printing. I also like I can fax to it at anytime that works great I would say if you want a quick and easy printer this is the one for you

I purchased this printer to replace one a model lower that was starting to not work right as it would not fax correctly. The only cons I have are . I was told that my ink cartridges from my old MFC-J475DW would work with this MFC-J485DW but they do not, which it should because it goes through ink like crazy especially the black. I dont even print that much and i have to replace the black like every month to month in a half. I also don't like is if one of the ink cartridges goes out you can't print or do anything, like if black is out you can't just print in color. Other than previously stated it is a great wireless printer. It does everything I need it to do and it was at great low price.

If you're looking for something inexpensive with good quality, this is your printer. Ink replacement is reasonably priced plus since each color is separate, you only buy what runs out. The only cons are the print speed which is a tad slower than other printers and not as quiet. But for home use, I'm happy.

As someone who is not very tech savvy, getting and installing a new printer was daunting. This printer was extremely easy to set up and install from all of my electronics, including 3 computers, my phone and IPad. It prints clearly and quickly; easily enlarging shrinking or making multiple copies quickly. It also scans and prints from scans quickly. Very pleased with my purchase.

Low price, good value. Easy to connect wireless. Interface is a little challenging for this OldTimer from the middle of the last century! Good thing that support is abundant and understandable. Compact size is exellent for small home office. Adjustable flip/tilt control panel is a nice touch.

Nice, compact size, decent speed, good print quality. Haven't used the scanner much, but it seems to be at least as good as the Canon AIO we used previously. Wi-Fi is nice, as is Apple iOS support. One small nit is that sometimes it takes a few minutes to start printing from a standby state.

    Speedy Little Printer

So far I'm supper happy with this little printer. It has a lot smaller footprint than the old HP I replaced it with. Even with "quiet" printing it's super fast. No paper jams so far. Really large tray that keeps the paper inside, vs laying outside to get dusty. I love the autofeed scanning, saves me time when scanning multiple documents. I print a LOT of pdf patterns, and I still have tons of ink. I think this printer has more than paid for itself already in just ink savings over the HP I had. Also the airprint/wireless print is so nice. Can print off my phone, my tablet, my pc, and my husband doesn't have to fight with Microsoft's homegroups to be able to print off his pc. Haha So yeah, I'd buy this lil' guy in a heartbeat. Great for small home offices and just general home printing! :)

This printer is very user friendly and easy to install . I have a MacBook Pro and this printer is compatible; therefore I highly recommend it if you own an apple computer. I love that I can print from my iPad and iPhone . The double-sided printing feature is a plus also!

Purchased this for home. Just wanted something I could hide out of the way, and don't have to worry about hooking up wires to my computer in the event that I want to print something (which is random/occasionally). Print quality is ok. Speed is acceptable. Tried printing a color doc from the web using my phone (app for Galaxy S4)... it took a long time to process the image prior to printing (don't know if it was because of my phone, or because of the app, or because of the printer). Processing time was much better on something I already had on my phone (like a pic). Print speed for a full-size color doc (8.5x11 photo) is slow, but everything else has been pretty good. Don't know about ink consumption yet (I don't do much printing at home), but I haven't had to change the factory provided starter cartridges yet. All in all, good for the $$$ (purchased for $50 during black Friday). Don't know if I would buy it for $100 though.
