Good low cost printer

Was looking for something low cost to get me by, and this definitely fits the bill. Printing is VERY slow if you just let Windows install its own drivers. Do yourself a favor and go to the manufacturer's website and download those. Sped the print speed up immensely (for documents, have not done photo printing). Scanner is on par with other scanners I've used, both in quality and speed. For occasional, at home use, I don't think you can go wrong with this.

Best Printer I've Owned To Date.

Great print quality

My original (not Brother) printer started to make erratic print quality, so I used our Geek Squad protection to get it replaced with this Brother machine. Completely painless process. This new machine has outstanding print quality, and great scanning quality. I am having a bit of trouble regarding wi fi reliability, but am assuming something to do with settings rather than being a fault.

Good value with limitations

When printing from one computer, output is good. When printing from another, output is not good and may result in wasted paper and time, not to mention aggravation. Also, this printer does not work with Quickbooks out of the box. This printer is a good gift item for someone you don't always care for. I feel like I spent $65 on a date with my sister and got a peck on the cheek at the end of the night. Good job Mom! Good job Brother!
