Good printer, but missing a few minor features. Scanning is limited to a few standard sized, so you can preview scan and select what part of the page you want. But otherwise it works well. Ink tanks list months, not years, but we're pretty pleased. Sotware for Windows 11 is a bit flaky, doesn't upgrade itself reliably.

I was surprised whe. GEEK Squad told me that. The only way to do it is to san pages first. For a $330 printer that was disappointing. Otherwise, it is great!

    Extremely Well Made Printer Brand

I first purchased a Brother large format printer when it first came out back in 1999 (approx). This printer worked until until 2024 when, due to my occassional useage, developed clogged ink output...but everything else worked perfectly. Everyone I talked to was amazed on how durable Brother makes their printers as opposed to other brands that stopped working after 4+/- years. Only shortcoming, when comparing printing out colored photos and images, the output quality is not as clear as the HP printers.

Reviews said this printer was a good one. It is! Have had it operating now for several weeks. Black print on Copies are sharp and print speed was good, faster than my old HP. Colors are very true. So far all is good.

I purchased this printer for the document feeder option and scanning capabilities. It does take about 30+ minutes to setup. Setup is not difficult just multiple steps to become operational. The printer does have a larger footprint than most home printers. Machine runs well and would recommend it.

Replaced my Brother MFC-J6925 which I really appreciated. This one does not adapt as well to custom-sized envelopes, but it works and is extremely fast. The print is clear and very satisfactory.

    Jams More Often Than Prints

This Brother inkjet printer prints very nicely...when it prints. It jams more often than not. The main cause of jams is that it's extremely particular about how I load the paper into the tray, yet the tray has a little wiggle room, so I'm always trying to figure out the exact place to line up the edge of the paper. Also, I have to remember to chose Tray 1 on my computer when I print, because the printer can't detect the paper for Auto Select. I use various kinds of paper, such as plain paper, letterhead, card stock, and labels. If you always print on the same kind of paper and can figure out how to make Tray 1 the default, you might not have problems. Another issue is that I can't get it to scan to my computer or email.

A BEHEMOTH that is difficult to understand

Have never used anything other than Brother printers but this one is much bigger and heavier than I expected and trays stick out to add to its unweildy dimensions (definately not compact). I'd warn it is the most difficult "printer" I've ever used. The digital screen function keys are hard to read. The instructions were unclear about everything and I had to call the manufacturer (snotty guy) to find out that I have to press the "COPY" function button in order to PRINT (no print selection on the copier). It's supposed to use a cable as well as Bluetooth, but the cable port, from what I can tell, is not outside the machine but underneath the copying table and difficut to see, much less determine what kind of cable you need. I'm still thinking about returning it.
