I needed a new printer so I bought this one because it has large capacity ink tanks that can last up to a year and it is an all-in-one with the fax feature. It can handle thick card stock, which I use for greeting cards, that another brand I tried couldn't. The colors are vibrant for making greeting cards and presentations. I like the double-sided printing feature and the sizes of paper it takes. This has a big footprint and doesn't fit well on a file cabinet so I returned it and got the next size down which is essentially the same except for the size. It's expensive but I bought it for the quality and great experiences I had with other Brother printers. Brother has a very good reputation and the last one I bought is over 10 years old and still works good enough for basic printing.

This printer is better than expected. It is excellent and very fast with printing.

So easy to set up and use! No weird ink subscription crap, either. Great- looking printing that is fast to be produced. I recommend this printer especially if you need larger scale printing, like ledger size.

I put this machine to work and so far it passed the test. The installation was simple and easy to do through wi-fi. At first, the printer tested itself and the connection was established at first trial without a glitch. I downloaded the recommended app on my Android and two iOS phones. Printing and scanning were easy to configure with the available software and simple to use. The printing process is fast for documents regardless if they are black & white or in color. I tried several documents from my laptop, my Android phone and from the two iOS phones. The connection was immediate and I haven't experienced any glitches as of this writing. I also printed portrait and nature landscape photos and the results were good. Nature photos were a bit on the warm side but the portrait photos impressed me the most as the skin tones stayed close to natural. Scanning for the document feeder and the glass were similar and of good quality, The Brother Print & Scan software offers several options to customize and I've found a few of them helpful for my needs. The copy function worked as good as I expected with no issues and came out close to the original documents. Copies of portraits and magazine covers were a bit on the dark side but acceptable. I did not use the fax function as I have no need for it and no landlines to test it. To conclude, I like this model for being a workhorse and delivering whenever it is requested. Its dimensions at 23"x19" without the paper extensions make it ideal for a small office or home based business. Plus the included ink cartridges have tons of ink that can last up to a year depending of usage. I'm very happy with this model and I will update if there are any changes.

This printer does a great job printing and scanning. I do real estate so I print all kinds of documents and color brochures. The ink lasts a long time and I've not replaced any ink in the year I have owned it. I had mine about a year and then it bricked on an update. I called Brother and talked to a great customer service agent and they had a new printer sent to me in two days! I chose Brother as I've heard they have great customer service and they absolutely delivered. I will never buy printers from any other brand!

I did a lot of research and was looking for a printer with auto feed feature as well as print 11x17 (tabloid) size documents, and didn't cost an arm and leg for ink. This printer serves my needs great! The only small things are although quality is good, it is not quite as crisp as my previous printer. I also haven't figured out how to scan documents that are back to back through the auto feeder, so I'm not sure that can be done. Overall, very pleased with printer and the price I paid. Be careful, though, as since this is a third party vendor through Best Buy, the printer is not covered under my Total Best Buy membership.

Great printer extremely fast. Also has a great scanner that is impressively quick. The software as with most brother printers is bulky for installation and slow but once it’s installed, it works well.

I don't typically write a review but I believe for this Brother printer it was warranted. I found this Brother printer to setup very easy compared to the HP printer it is replacing. I also found some of the reviews read before buying to be more personal issues than printer issues. For the money and capabilities available in the printer to be an outstanding value. I would definitely recommend the printer to friends and family. I gave the Brother 5 Stars

I love this printer. I’ve had no problems with it since I purchased it four months ago. This is an easy-to-use printer. You can’t go wrong with it. (1) User menu’s can be accessed on the printer, on the computer, and on-line. The help menu is easy to understand with picture diagrams. (2) WiFi is quick and simple to setup and doesn’t have to be reset every time the WiFi loses signal. It just reconnects as if nothing happened. (3) There is no time lag between the time a text document is set to print and the actual printing of the document. There’s no waiting for the pages to print except maybe a few seconds for color-saturated photos. (4) The print quality is comparable to some of the more expensive models by other companies currently on the market making this printer a good choice for the price. (5) The rear paper tray accepts a wide variety of sizes and paper types making it extra easy to use. What isn’t there to like about this printer? I wholeheartedly recommend this printer for office use and all things creative.

Needed a larger format printer than current printer. This takes 11x14 paper with out having to feed one sheet at a time. Also scans 11x14. Printer everything smaller and does a really good job. AND you don't have to join "refresh" ink and therefore don't have to cut pages.

Great product, easy to set up, easy to use and no problem with wireless communications between mobile, laptop and network. The network setting allows external parties to print, which came in quite handy as well.

The quality of the prints are wonderful, bright and faster. I have some issues with the app installation in my computer but the rest is perfect.

Works as advertised. I have purchased a similar item I thought worked as well until I purchased this printer.

System is very fast but is larger than most home printers. Also I found that I must use the Brother printer SW for photos versus the print SW that is on my computer as part of my standard SW package

These are excellent printers. We have 3 of them in our office and we are really pleased with the quality and the ink lasts a while even with heavy printing.

Good all in one machine. A bit outdated on the glass scanner, usually there is an indicating light when the door is open, not on this machine though.... All in all is a good reliable machine for printing, coping and scaning. (I haven't used yet the fax)

Very easy to set up. Ink lasted forever. I could print from my iPhone easily. My sister-in-law printed from her phone too. The ink lasts and lasts
