This type of printer is excellent if you make many prints with black ink, the prints are of quality and for me who work all the time with printers it has been one of the most functional and economical, I advise having an AB cable at hand when installing it.

It is very easy to use it. It is perfect for small home business.since i bought never go out for copy.

Brother make great printers. This one is an all in one that does everything. Installation was quick and simple. Faxing, printing and coping were very simple. Scanning is a little more complicated, but that is the case on all printers. Scan option is simple. Retrieving what you scan requires an understanding of files and folders. All in all, a great purchase!!

This is a great printer, especially if you are producing a lot of digital or printed documents. It prints fast, it is quiet, the page feeder for the scanner/copier is fantastic. I have not had a feeder jam yet, and I scan a lot. I like the apps that came with the printer, including PaperPort Light, which is all I need to make sure my PDFs are exactly what I want to send. If you are in a production environment, and don't need a color printer, this is a great printer to get. It is inexpensive, it works like I do, and it never causes a problem. I love it!

Good quality small office/home office all in one printer. Simple to set-up. The only thing i founded tedious is, it only takes 1 sheet/envelope/etc in the manual feeder. I had a samsung 2007 printer that took 30 sheets or around 5-10 envelopes at a time. But is not Brothers fault. I just didn't do my research beforehand. But over all pleased with purchase. Also if it's for home use, you can lower noise and speed of printing if you don't mind waiting a few extra seconds for your print job, which i think it's neat and might same some electric power. I've only had it for almost a month, so i can't say anything about reliability. But if it keeps working like now for the next 3-5 yrs it's a good machine.

So far so good! Only printed a few things, but it's quiet and quick. Just got rid of my inkjet for this and I think it was a good decision. Easy to set up also.

We have a corporate office and several outposts. We only use these Brother all in one printers. The toners last a long time, simple to use and holds up well to wear in tear.

The multi-function printer arrived quickly, was easy to set up, could print, scan, copy. I didn't figure out how to do multi-page scans unless you could feed the pages, but that was probably us. We purchased it after reading review and caveats on this website. I thought people had said customer support from Brother was good. This would have been a five star review a month after receipt. BUT six weeks after purchase, it would not print. It would not scan. It said it was offline, but it was never used for wifi, only connected by cable to my computer. I did an online chat with support. Tried everything. Reinstalled, the computer found the printer with a funny extension. It would not accept the password. Started over. This time, the computer didn't recognize it at all. I was told someone higher up would call. They did not. Two days later, I called again. I was told to buy a new cable. I pointed out that I had two cables, both of which allowed my computer to recognize the old printer, but I was assured I needed a new cable. Then I asked how to get service. "There is no service facility for this type of printer within 100 miles" WARNING: Best Buy doesn't give you that information. She also seemed to think our printer model was obsolete. Remember, it is six weeks old. When my wife got involved and said this made no sense and we had done all these steps on our own, with the chat two days ago and with this person, she said she did not see that we had reported it. She offered to have someone call us. We said that was offered two days ago, but it hadn't happened. No answer. Two week return policy didn't work for this. We can't even get anyone at Brother to admit that our printer is broken. They have said it's the cable. A new cable has disproved this, and simply cost us more. They also said it was out computer. We have tried it now with the desktop and a laptop, again disproving them. No one will tell us the next step to make good on the warranty. I will update this if we ever get it working without whatever the likely impossible process is to return it for warranty replacement. Right now, I cannot recommend buying this, though it seemed like exactly what we needed. Stars for quality and ease of use reflect the working machine. Star for value reflects an expensive lemon.

love this printer. this is actually the third one we bought. We have 2 at our place of business (that get a big workout daily) and decided to get one for the home office since i mainly print black and white. When I went to purchase this (from sams club) they no longer carried it so I purchased a different printer that was more expensive and color. ........... I returned it the same day. went online to best buy and found it there. set up was a breeze. prints fast. you don't have to sign up for the ink if you don't want to. I have found great deals on amazon for toner and drums. 100% recommend this printer

I've trusted Brother printers as much as anyone else's, especially for the lost cost of replacement cartridges. This was easy to install, has a small footprint for a laser all-in-one, and as fast as you could expect.

Easy to set up and it brings bonus toner. Although it is a bit bigger in space, it is not too bulky. It prints and scans easily and you can set it up from your phone as well. Overall, a great purchase and highly recommended.

The Brother-MFC-L2717DW is a superb printer for home printing, feeding documents to copy, without having to place them one-by-one, and doing scanning. The scans go directly into the correct file in the correct folder in your computer. I'm in the process of filing for a taxes, a home equity loan and other applications--the intuitive and easy to understand directions, particularly in relation to scanning--are putting a smile on my face, not a feeling of frustration! Good job, Brother and Best Buy!

Set up was easy, fast printing! Very happy with this printer so far. Not sure how long the toner will last, but all in all a good printer. Scans fast. I will not be utilizing the fax option. ADF feeder is fast.

A great printer! Black and white. Not a color printer. That’s what I wanted! Fast to print. The cartridge prints many many pages. Home use.
