Saving a money vs inkjet since I do mostly black printing. Still on the first toner cartridge. From my experience, does not have the sleep standby problem that others were claiming. You are able to access the device from the web interface. Was easily detected as a network printer and scanner. Most things do not require drivers since it is a network device. Using default applications you can easily scan from the loader. Fax works with little setting up.

Easy to install. Great print quality. Air printing saves time.

This is my second Brother all-in-one printer. My first one lasted 10 years and would still be in service if not for Windows 10

Fast printing and multi function, easy t setup and use

This printer works as it suppose to, only problem I see is after prolonged in sleep mode it fails to print but after restarting printer it works fine.

My last Brother lasted 10 years. This new one has more features, but appears to also be well built.

I got this based on the product reviews and haven't used the all in one printer as much as I want to. I got price match with the lowest price on another website and thanks to Best buy for that.

This is a good home office product. You may want to consider buying another toner cartridge when you pick this up. Ours ran out pretty quickly.

Very easy to set up and the copies are very clear.

This laser printer does fine when printing as a shared printer from other computers but it seems to lose connectivity when scanning. It is hooked up via a wired LAN but overall it does well

After researching the comparison of laser-jet versus inkjet, I decided that a black and white laser-jet multi function device was best for my needs. I went to the Best Buy in Lynnwood WA with a purchase in mind. I also purchased an Apple Air Extreme. Wi-Fi set up was easy with my non-apple laptop. The Brother MFC has proved to meet my expectations. I still have to figure out how to scan a document to my laptop using Wi-Fi instead of using a cable, I think this issue is merely a user problem. I also observed that competing brands were displayed but not on the lower (customer) shelf, but I looked around at the upper shelves at the store and I saw that they had the competing products, so ask a sales associate if BB has the product because it might be on the 10' high shelf or in the warehouse area. BTW - The sales associates at BB in Lynnwood were a bunch of goof-offs and service was extremely poor. I provided feed back to BB but never heard back, go figure.

This is a great monochrome laser printer! Really like being able to scan to the cloud.
