Best laser printer I've ever had. It's fast and quiet, it duplexes, has a document feeder and it didn't cost an arm and a leg! It's the very same printer marketed by Dell but not nearly as expensive. The scanner works great too. I haven't used the fax because its not hooked up to a phone line but I'm sure it works good too. I don't think you can go wrong with this printer for home office use.

Printer has a ton of options. Very loud. Very fast - especially at scanning. Have had issues with Airport dropping. Scanning to Dropbox works great. Duplex feature also is great.

I am still new with this, but I do have some thoughts at this point: First of all, I like the smaller size compared to the MFC DW8890. I think it is also not as noisy Scanning 2 sided dox are faster and subjected to less problems than the 8890 because it scans both sides with one pass rather than the dox having to "double-feed" to get each side...one pass-through and both sides are scanned

I purchased this printer for my small office. I needed a printer that would be fast, that could print double sided and collate. This printer does it all. The ink is not too pricey and you get 2000 copies.

Upgraded from and old Samsung ML-1740. The new Brother multi-functions printer decent (4-stars). The best part is the toner is at a very reasonable price (5-stars plus)! The configurations could be better (3-stars). Wireless functions could be tricky with firewall software, e.g. Symantec Endpoint Protection. Scanning port is blocked after about 5 minutes of the printer being ON rendering it useless. May need to set firewall exceptions. I couldn't because it's a domain policy on my work laptop. I ended up just using the USB connect. Other home laptops works find with the wireless functions.

Tired of buying expensive color cartridges? This is the machine for you with a toner cartridge which lasts much longer than those for printers. Simple to set up and use. Just bigger than the printer, but faster.

This model has everything that you need at a great price. Do not pay more for your ink than you did for your printer. Buy this printer if you have a home office.

It faxes, prints, copies very quickly. The helpline walked me through the setup, they were knowledgable and friendly. Once set up, it works like magic.

I wanted a laser printer because I don't print much which made my inkjet a waste. This was both an upgrade from inkjet as well as capabilities. It does all of it well. I would highly recommend for those that want these capabilities at home. I did buy it when it was on sale. If you don't need / want the two-sided feeding for scanning I would look at the lower end model.

Fast duplex scanning! The document feeder allows it to scan both sides at the same time. It prints fast, clear, sharp letters, and the laser toner is inexpensive and lasts a long time. If you do a lot of text printing and don't need to print in color, this does everything else! It even talks to your Apple devices. This is packed with great features at a great price.

I had a perfectly good printer, it was also a Brother, but I needed a wireless printer to be able to print from my tablet and cell phone without jumping through the master computer . This printer was very easy to set up and easy to use. I now can do every thing from any device . I have always used a Brother printer because I know I can trust the product.

I have used a printer similar to this before and decided to buy this one. This printer is is fast and I would recommend it to others.

This is a nice laser printer. HAd to swap from a color printer Was costing my business too much money to replace the ink all the time. Its fast too

I purchased the printer from Best Buy close to my home. It is very easy to set up. The only draw back is that it does not come with a USB cable.

I purchased this for my classroom to scan in exams (no more scantrons) to my grading software. the double sided scanning and printing are a great feature that my older model didn't have. There is also an after market refill kit (~$20) so the ink is dirt cheap (i've used it on my other "brother printer" for years now) which makes it great for my class room if i need quick copies and i don't worry about the cost. I trust the "brother" name and it has not disappointed me yet. this is a great little laser printer!

Does a great job at copying and printing. Really needs a fax receive delay of more than 4 rings to avoid interference with voicemail and normal handset off hook times--fax comes on too loud and too soon.

was easy to set up and functions as expected but physical construction could be a little stronger/more business level looking and feeling. Also seems ridiculous that it only comes with a starter toner cartridge

I needed a new printer and wanted an all-in-one laser printer because I was tired of all the problems with inkjet printers (all-in-one). This printer does everything I needed it to do efficiently, reliably, and without ink drying up and failing to print properly. I had only one problem, and that was my fault. I would recommend this printer to anyone.
