Great choice for SOHO B&W laser multifunction

We bought this on limited research and timeline. My wife is in her last semester of grad school and our HP OfficeJet died a quick, early death in the middle of an important project. I needed the scanning functionality, speed, and lower cost per page provided by a laser printer. Since I was done with HP, I selected this Brother. Setup was easy, though some of the functionality required for scanning isn't as intuitive as I'd like. Scanning to email only functions through a Mail client running on a computer. Since I use GMail's web interface on a Mac, I needed another option, so I chose the Scan to Google Drive. That allows the files to be sent to my Google Drive, and I simply share the directory with my wife for easy access. It also provides access to other online services like Box, One Note and One Drive. The process takes some steps to complete, and you may need to reference the online documentation for the printer, since included manuals are sparse. Print quality is what I would expect for a printer of this quality. 2 Sided printing works, though it's expectedly slower than single sided printing. The same is true of the scanner, though it works fine. I would say that scan quality is good to very good. It does what I need it to do. As far as toner goes, the included cartridge has printed a total of 669 pages, 624 of them double sided, and it is just about empty. I don't know the page rating of the included cartridge (read: If it's a low capacity starter or one of the actual retail versions) so it's hard to make that call. I did purchase the TN760, high capacity cartridge, and will be installing it likely in the next day or two.

Perfect printer for the non-tech savvy

I was having continuous problems with an old Epson color printer I had. It often wouldn't connect with various devices, ink would be dry many times when I went to print something, and once I had to replace my router I could never get it to connect to any device again. I couldn't be happier with this new Brother printer! The setup was VERY easy for a non-tech-savvy person. I was able to connect all my wireless devices easily to the printer. The printer can even send scans to my devices (which the old printer claimed to do but I could never get that feature to work!). The ink doesn't dry out in-between uses! It's been a dream so far to have a printer function the way I need it to when I need it to! I'm a little scared about changing routers again, but am hopeful this printer can handle the change! Very happy with my purchase!

Are you sick of ink cartridges? The ones in your printer that are always empty. Well me too, so I decided to try this laser printer. It is black and white only, however thats all I really need. When was the last time I printed a photo or really needed to print something in color? Yeah I can't remember either. By giving up those color cartridges, you get speed in return. I mean fast printing and scanning. I even liked how fast it was to set up. My PC recognized the printer right away, and downloaded the driver immediately. Nice - easy set up. The paper tray is very large as well, holds about a half ream of paper. I use this unit for my home office and so far I'm very happy. It is also a fax machine, but I have not used that function yet. The only thing I'll be buying going forward will be toner. The starter cartridge included lasts for 3000 pages. You can also get cartridges for 7000 and more. Happy printing folks!

I've had this printer for a year now and it has been a great buy. It is compact enough to fit in a desk slot and handles anything I throw at it for home use. I print from two desktops, two laptops and one tablet. It prints, scans and copies on both sides. Compared to an inkjet printer this is so much simpler and cheaper. Throw in a toner cartridge and forget about it for a good long run. The down side is no color, but it's rare I need color. One thing that I consider a major disappointment is the Utilities Program is pretty dated. I've used Brother printers for over 10 years now and the program has changed very little. Still this is an excellent printer for the price.

I had planned to set up a wireless computer to printer connection, but that proved elusive, intermittent at best, and hopeless when the printer was asleep. Was planning to return unit, ugh (which is why I bought local, from Best Buy). Then I just plugged the printer into the (service provider) ATT box with an ethernet cable. Entered ATT password on printer screen. Installed Brother print/scan app. Added printer to computer's list. Everything after that worked flawlessly. I can print from downstairs via computer wireless connection to ATT box to printer; the printer wakes up immediately. Ignore the supplied CD, just get the latest driver from Brother support, then go to your system's app store for the print/scan app. Note: as you install the drivers and software on various computers, you may see each time a screen to re-enter the password for your service provider connection. Exit that. You only have to tell the printer once. Printer is fast, not noisy, not huge, not heavy. I like it.

I bring this up as others have had issues with it Runs Quiet Again, Very Pleased, My first Brothers Printer, I've been a Lexmark user for decades Glad I made the effort to change

Makes crisp, clear copies at a relatively higher than average speed. Syncs with my laptop for easy scanning and printing from the web. Small enough to fit nicely in a tight office space.

I've owned multiple Brother printers and won't be changing that anytime soon. Recently purchased this for my parents and couldn't be happier. It's easy to set up and printing/copying/scanning quality is great. I wish the form factor was smaller and the aesthetic was more modern, but that's not a big deal. Get this if you want the job done right. The ink lasts for a long time with light use.

Made the change from ink jet to laser after too many years. Gave up color printing capacity because I just don’t use it much and my previous printer did such a crappy job on color I essentially detoxed. So far this machine has been brilliant. It stays synced with my WiFi network, works on AirPrint flawlessly and prints clean, clear black and white text and images. Set up was easy first time and I was unsure about that because I no longer have a cd/dvd drive. Online download of driver took only a couple minutes and the whole process was a few clicks away. So far, I am very impressed.

This was to replace a worn out Brother laser printer scanner. This one works much better with good scanning and printing. It is a better model than one it replaced. It is easy to operate.

Copies are quick (36 pages per minute), accurate and network connection was quite easy. I’d recommend using a dedicated USB for set-up customization as is indicated in the procedures, although it’s also achievable from the panel on the printer itself. We haven’t run through the original toner cartridge yet so I can’t offer any observations on yield life, but it seems like toner longevity is likely to meet the specifications. I’d recommend this as a solid solution for a very affordable price.

Brother makes a good quality machine without breaking the bank. I was not initially intending to buy a 3-in-1 printer but after doing my research... this one had everything I needed, at a better price point, and best of all it was in stock locally so I could pick it up while it was on sale! I am quite happy with it and if you don't need a lot of color printing... get one like this for your everyday forms and paper needs. It's much less expensive to operate!

I wanted to move to black and white laser printing instead of full color when I started a work from home business, and I didn't need the color aspect of printing at all, so I went with the Brother family of printers. This is my second Brother printer purchased by me, using my HL-2280DW as a back up to the 2750. the 2280 is about four years old without ever having a problem, so I knew the 2750 would be reliable long term. Does what I want it to do, quietly and cost effective to boot. Can't beat the Brother family of printers!

Excellent business device. Print quality is very good and fast. The scanner never loses connection with the various PC's on the network (unlike our HP which prints well but keeps losing scanner connections, which is why we bought this one), plus we have set up one button shortcuts for scanning that were easy to do for each PC. Very happy with this purchase. We liked our first one so much that we bought another one!
