Don't bother, unless you like throwing $ away
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an expensive printer/scanner and should be able to produce copies that aren't all speckled and grainy with flecks of ink all over the page. I've tried to fix the problem by applying all the troubleshooting options provided by Brother. To no avail. I can't seem to find anyway to contact Brother to actually talk to someone and get help. I'm sure I'm beyond the due date for returning this to Best Buy, so am now stuck with an expensive piece of dung. Bad product, bad customer service, bad everything.

Brother Wireless Color All-In-One Laser Printer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this laser printer for home use. It's a little more expensive than an inkjet printer, but the quality is worth it, and you don't get the issues with smeared ink. You also don't have issues with replacing ink cartridges continuously. It's a great printer/scanner/copier. It is easy to set up on the computer and cell phone, and has great directions. Scanning documents to your computer is super easy, and I've had no issues printing from my cell phone. High quality printing, and speed of printing is great. I would highly recommend this printer.

Toner life is below expectations
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We are a small law office. I have gone through 3 high yield black toners within a month. The toner states yields up to 3,000 copies, but 3,000 is not close.
No, I would not recommend this to a friendBrand response from Brother
Posted .Hi, the stated page yields for genuine Brother cartridges are based on the ISO testing standards. The number of pages that can be printed with a cartridge is affected by several factors, including paper size, number of pages per print job, amount of print on each page, font size, and print content (graphics, charts, etc.). Print jobs with large text fonts, graphics, charts, and/or large amount of solid coverage (black or any given color) will use much more toner and will shorten the life of the toner cartridge. If you have any questions about your Genuine cartridge, please contact Brother customer service at https://www.brother-usa.com/brother-support.

Scannng cuts 1/8 inch on all sides
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a printer this appeared flawless. However, scanning is not. The scanner does not use the entire area of the glass. Anything placed in the top corner has 1/8 on an inch cut off on the top and side. This intentional defect, is repeated on all 4 sides when using any of the software presets. If you take a 4x6 photo place it appropriately on the glass, 1/8 inch is cut off all four sides. This is not acceptable in a scanner and I had to return it.

Good Entry Level Laser Printer
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The printer is easy to set up, including wireless printing. I print wireless from windows 10 and my iphone, and it has been very reliable in connecting. It prints with good speed, including double sided pages, once it warms up and starts the print job. I only gave 4 stars as full page photo print could be crisper and sharper. It is a great entry level laser printer for most other print jobs and excels with pages of text and color images throughout the page. Scanning to the PC is also easy to do with the Brother iPrint&Scan software that is included. Please note -- I did receive this item free in exchange for a fair/honest review as part of the Best Buy Tech Insider Network. Everything written above is my honest opinion of the product.

Not efficient for office use
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For a home printer/copier I would consider purchasing again but not for an office. Worst mistake I've ever made! Generic toner cartridges don't work well, name brand cartridges don't last as long as they say they will. Our IT person said these were the best, low maintenance and low cost compared to HP... but not by my experience! After one year of use we're changing back to HP.

Not a good product
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A lot issues. Ink cartridges are too expensive and do not last long. This is the second one. First one was replaced inside of warranty.

Toner error makes this thing a a huge door stop
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pretty machine. It worked fine until I had to replace a toner cartridge. I used a Brother cartridge for the replacement and the printer comes up with a error on the screen saying the machine is out of toner. I replaced ALL the cartridges with new ones and I still get the error. A quick look online shows that this is a known issue and that they still haven't fixed it for years. Save yourself some money and buy a cinder block to keep your door open and a pack of pens to write all the stuff you would otherwise print on this piece of crap.

Sucks up Toner
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Print quality is great, but this would be the most expensive printer to keep supplied, I have ever printed with. The cartridges that come with it will last you about 100 pages. Bought new cartridges and got the same results.

Prints grey as ink is wacked
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice printer but within a week the print is all smeared with black or more like grey. I have gone through hours trying to re calibrate and nothing so I will go out and get a new cartridge or try and return. Have had about a month now and at my wits end as this should not be happening. I did not print that much to be out of ink but keep seeing on the cartridge. Not sure what issue is but hopefully a new cartridge will work with a brand new printer.

Cannot even install the thing!
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolute garbage. Since day 1, extreme issues just getting this thing installed. After we did, it would CONSTANTLY go offline, and there was no easy way to get it back online. I would have to uninstall and reinstall the entire printer/software from the PC. Fast forward 5 months of nonstop issues and here we are today. This thing simply will NOT reistall. I have followed every single FAQ to a "T". The printer itself shows connected to our 2.4 GhZ network, but during install, the software simply cannot see the machine. I have forwarded ports, restarted the router, printer, computer. Nothing. I just wasted another 2 hours of my life over this piece of garbage. I have contacted Brother previously and of course, no help from them. They send me piles of FAQs that I have already read and attempted. This machine HAS to be defective. No other explanation. But here I sit with a $400 paper weight. No one can help me and I cannot return it. I will never buy another Brother product again, and I recommend you considering the same.
