||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.things started off great but then......can't get rid of streaks. did all their diagnostics and cleaned with their slide bar. changed cartridges which is lost money and it's still streaking. Otherwise it's great but don't count on it for pristeen documents. Too bad.

Printer doesn't print what's shown
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this brand new printer for a week. The printer's display / quality was not good as identified by several posts. The biggest issue I encountered was the inability to print what's displayed in the que. This printer omitted printing headers and most details on the page. I troubleshooted using the same que to print to an older Canon iP7220 printer which captured the details as outlined. During my research prior to purchase each of the leading brands "All-in-one" printers had flaws. However I never saw mention of anything about not printing what's displayed. I ignored my findings and accepted the review from an established Consumer Review of merchandise Company. Brother is supposingly a top not company for printers. Based on my experience I'm very disappointed. My 1st experience with Brother equipment and I expect my last. If the printer is unable to print what's there then what good is it?

Brother blocks third party toner cartridges.
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Brother is sending out firmware that is causing this printer to refuse to recognize third party toner cartridges. We never signed a contract agreeing to only use overpriced genuine brother cartridges. We want best buy to get us our money back and to stop carrying brother printers until Brother stops blocking third party toner cartridges,

STAY AWAY FROM BROTHER
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.THE MFC-L3770CDW HAS BEEN A COMPLETE NIGHTMARE. AFTER PRINTING 20 PAGES, STREAKING STARTED TO OCCUR. HAD TO CHANGE OUT ALL TONER CARTRIDGES TO RESOLVE!! THEN SCANS WHICH PREVIOUSLY MADE THEIR WAY WIRELESSLY TO MY COMPUTER STOPPED WORKING. FIXED THRU WIN10 NETWORK RIGHTS AFTER HOURS OF INVESTIGATION. WHY DID IT CHANGE IN THE FIRST PLACE?? THEN PRINTING CEASED TO WORK WIRELESSLY SEVERAL WEEKS LATER. THE BROTHER WIRELESS DIAGNOSTIC TOOL IS WORTHLESS. DAYS INTO FIGURING OUT THE PRINTING PROBLEM, THE PRINTER NOW IS IN FAULT MODE INDICATING "NO TONER", YET THERE ARE HIGH-CAPACITY TONER CARTRIDGES INSTALLED!! THIS PRINTER IS A LEMON AND UNRELIABLE. DO NOT RECOMMEND IN THE LEAST.

Paper jams and no one wats to fix.
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Lots of paper jams that are very difficult to remove and finding someone to repair the unit is near impossible. Should have purchased a Canon or HP. Since I was out of the office most of 2020 didn't know this was a problem unit until 2021 well after the warranty was expired. :(

Excellent printer for a busy school family!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ll be brief -- I love this printer. My wife is a teacher and though she does most of her printing at school she nevertheless does quite a bit of printing of worksheets and student papers at home. We had previously used an Inkjet printer - and it served us well enough -- but it was proving less than ideal for the volume of printing she needed to do. This printer isn’t cheap, but it’s not especially expensive either and carries what I think to be a very reasonable price tag for use in either a small office or professional use at home. It’s a bit bigger than your typical home printer, though probably right in line with what you’d expect for a small office printer. It’s a multi-function device so I’ll touch on each of it’s main functions: Printer: I like to hang and change family pictures around my desk area at work pretty often and this printer prints photos quite well. Though you can get by using regular paper they’ll look especially nice if you use photo paper. Regular professional level documents with text and graphs look great too and print fast once the printer gets revved up, especially to someone like me coming to this printer from primarily the inkjet world. Document handling is simple and flexible, use either the paper try or open the manual feed for “one off” exceptions of special sizes. It also supports AirPrint and Google Cloud Print which I found quite useful for printing directly from our family phones and mobile devices. Scanner: I am quite impressed with its ability to scan directly to network folders, FTP, or even directly to cloud services like Onedrive and Google Drive, etc. I primarily set this up to scan to a local network folder and to Google Drive. Scans looked very good though tended to be slightly but noticeably lighter in color compared to the original image being scanned. Copier: This worked well and we used it to convert some custom-made cut-out papers into flat copies on regular paper that could be easily reproduced and handed out to students. Fax: I haven’t had a fax phone line in years so I couldn’t test this functionality. Network: The printer supports both WiFi and wired connectivity. I tested both and it worked well but ultimately settled on a wired connection for the simplicity and reliability. I was a little surprised in this day and age to find that the printer’s LAN port is only 100Mbit capable though, but in practice it’s plenty fast. Because I do a fair amount of cloud printing, one setting I had to change right away was the “auto power off” because there are plenty of times when I want to send a job to the printer and know that it printed when I’m not actually there to turn it on. Sleep mode is fine, but to competely turn off on any kind of schedule was unacceptable to me. Fortunately the printer allows you to easily disable the auto power off, and voila! To wrap it up, I am pretty beside myself with this printer. It’s a bit pricier than your standard budget home printer but commensurately more capable. It’s a quality and capable printer that I expect to service our family print needs for several years. If you need to print “more than your average Joe” or are just ready to take a step up from even very-good inkjets then I can easily recommend this printer.

Posted .Hi, We recommend configuring the 5 GHz band to use a unique name. If you name both networks the same thing, this may cause repeated connection loss between the Brother machine and the computer. Here is a FAQ that with additional information.

Poor AirPrint quality.
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was good initially, but became a toad with software updates. Latest drivers do not allow selection of higher print quality setting. Can still make high quality photocopies, but why has the printer function been hobbled?

Brother Wireless all in one laser printer.
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This didn't last long and when it broke down we were unable to get another one. Must be a reason for that! Thank goodness we purchased the Geek squad coverage. They credited the amount of the printer, all we had to do was return it.
