The Brother MFC-L3770CDW Color Laser Printer is a great home/office printer for just about most business or home users. It has built in fax capabilities (many businesses still use fax), fast color and black and white printing, duplex printing, scanning, wireless/cloud printing and also NFC printing. The starter toners are good for about 1,000 prints and I wasn’t able to find a price on the specific toners (TN-223) at the time of me writing this, but the other models were running about $60 for each (B/W, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow) for the regular toners, but they also have a higher yield size TN-227. Regular toner yields around 1,400 prints and high yield nearly doubles that amount. The Drum kit is good for about 18,000 prints so that is another cost to figure into this printer at some point. Brother does offer a “Refresh” program, so you won’t ever run out of toner. You have the option to use that or not. This printer also comes with a 1-year warranty and phone or chat tech support for the life of the product. The 3.7-inch touch screen is a nice addition as well and is responsive and bright. I have never had a brother laser printer before, but I look forward to many years of service of this thing.

Inconsistent is the word for this printer. It is great when it works. My main problem with this printer is Apple AirPrint does not work with it.

Received this printer a week ago. Pretty easy to set up. It is very large and heavy, so find a stable table to put it on. Easy to connecto to home wireless router and updated to the current firmware within just a few minutes. The touch screen interface and buttons are very intuitive (no, of course I didn't crack open and read the manual!). Printed only a couple dozen pages so far across multiple devices (laptop, desktop, Chromebook, iPhone, iPad). Even remote printed from work via Chrome and Google Print (worked perfectly!). Print quality is very good. Sharp for text, graphs, tables, and 2D AutoCAD drawings. Photo images were ok. Copy function was very good and photo scans direct to my computer came out very clear as well. It is a power sucker though...when it fires up, my ceiling lights flicker a little. Not stealth quiet by any means, but reasonable noise level for a printer of this size and capability. I hope this printer lasts my family for many many years. Toner will be very expensive to replace down the road, but if we're lucky we'll get this to serve us with no issues for all 4 of my kids' high school years now.

Stated page yields for genuine Brother cartridges are based on the ISO testing standards. The number of pages that can be printed with a cartridge is affected by several factors, including paper size, number of pages per print job, amount of print on each page, font size, and print content (graphics, charts, etc.). Print jobs with large text fonts, graphics, charts, and/or large amount of solid coverage (black or any given color) will use much more toner and will shorten the life of the toner cartridge.

If you have any questions about your Genuine cartridge, please contact Brother customer service at our support site. Brother

New to Brother; Very Happy So Far

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I have owned this printer for about a month now. I loved my previous printer: OKI MCw362, but OKIdata has left the US market. I did a lot of research and found this was my best choice at my price point. I have been pleasantly surprised. Very easy to set up (on a Mac, and I have had zero issues with connectivity). I am a graphic designer and need good print quality. Output seems a bit darker, but that can be typical. At first I thought the prints weren't very crisp, but I had to adjust my software for smoother lines (print as bitmap). Also, my previous prints with OKI had more of a gloss look, but this quality is perfectly acceptable. I have printed on heavy cover stock via the manual feed and rear exit, with no problems. I've also printed on 3x5, and had no issues. Much quieter than my OKI, but this is also much newer. The wake time from sleep mode is very fast. Extremely happy so far.

Hi Maria, I am sorry to hear the CD ROM and USB cable was missing from your printer. A USB cable is not included with the purchase of your printer. There are often multiples ways to connect your machine to a computer or network. However, you should have received the CD ROM. You can access our website to download the drivers for your printer to get started. Click here:

This is a great all in one printer. I have a small office and I’d say it’s just the right size. The setup process was fairly easy just like previous printers I’ve had in the past. The color is amazing it prints very quickly. The fact that I can fax is of course a big plus for me. I have used the NFC feature and it worked like a charm. The touc screen is very responsive. The fact that I can print straight from Dropbox on my iPhone also great. Overall I’m pleasantly surprised and impressed with this printer since I’m coming from an HP all in one and had never heard of the brother brand before.

Good printer, but get geek squad

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Had it for a little over year and was extremely satisfied. Ran off Wi-Fi and connected with everybody perfectly. Prints, scans, copies without a fault. Then when my kids were printing reports for school it jammed at the back. My wife removed the jam but it was very hard to get to. It came out in pieces but she thought she got it all. It continued to jam after this. I cleared that which was very difficult but I am sure nothing was left inside. After it was cleared I rebooted it and went into diagnostics. It has a fault that would not clear no matter what I did. The good news is that it was still under geek squad coverage and I got another just like it at the same price. If you need a heavy duty model for a business, this may not be the model for you. Make sure you get geek squad which now provides four years of replacement coverage.

Decided to replace my inkjet printer with a laser printer because of the durability reputation. I researched laser printers for the features I needed most, color printing, scan, photocopying, and wireless printing abilities. Found this gem and immediately went to buy it, brought it home and set it up on my home WiFi network in less than 45 minutes with zero problems!!!! Works perfectly with my Windows PC, my iPAD and my iPhone for mobile printing. A bit more pricey, of course, than the inkjet models, but so much FASTER and QUIETER. I look forward to LONGER lasting toner cartridges. Print quality is excellent.
