Very good print quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recommend against using the BR-Script3 driver. It takes about a minute per page to convert a web page with pictures to postscript. The ordinary driver works fine and doesn't have the conversion delay. Unfortunately I tried the postscript driver and it took hours to figure out how to get ride of it. Took 5 minutes to install on my wife's laptop. Photo quality isn't as good as my photo printer, but text is excellent. Very quiet. Prints well from android phones using the the Brother plugin.

Great for a Home Office!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far this has been great and this thing is pretty quiet with everything it does compared to my previous Brother Laser Mono all in one. And as to quality of prints well I'm very happy with the prints that I have been getting so far, super sharp and colors are great. I looking forward to having this printer for a while like my previous Brother which lasted me 6 years and is still going. But it was time for something new and this is a great replacement so far.

Excellent Printer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really love this printer. It is extremely easy to setup and get started. The Airprint feature is really great since our household has 3 iPads. The scanning is also great, especially the single pass double sided scan. No jams like my previous HP Printer/Scanner. Truly a value and I look forward to many useful years.

nice printer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s a great printer for small business and at home offices. Toner can get pricey, but make sure to get the high yield! it is prone to paper jamming error when there’s no paper jammed

Just what I needed for my WFH set up
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Terrific workhorse of a printer. Just right for home office, small business, WFH. I needed one with a high capacity tray, because I was running to put paper in every other day.

Great printer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a really solid printer. Couldn’t be happier. The one weakness I experienced was with the instructions. I needed a cat 6 cord for the printer to work on a secure network. I couldn’t figure out why it wouldn’t work with the basic cord provided.

Brotherly love
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this laser printer for home use to replace cheapie 3-in-1 inkjets, and have not yet had reason to try out all its functions. It prints and copies great, no smudges, no head cleaning, ink guzzling or paper jams. The software, from 2018, updated itself seamlessly and the online support seems robust. If it continues to run like this, it's worth the higher price.

good printer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like everything about this printer except that it won't print on photo paper without melting it and leaving a mess on the printer.

Short and sweet review
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. All I wanted was a printer/scanner/fax that was easy to set up and didn't cost me a fortune. This was the perfect choice. Unpacked, set up, connected to wireless effortlessly, prints quietly and quickly, prints double or single sided and scans directly to my computer in pdf or jpeg format so easily. No more usb stick! Holds a lot of paper. So easy to navigate....a great buy.

Good except doesn't scan full US Letter
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had it for a couple of months and love that it scans quickly in duplex mode. However, I just realized that it does NOT SCAN FULL US LETTTER size. When you scan from the printer or computer for default or US Letter size options, it only scans 8.26 inches by 10.76 inches. Thus, if you want to capture the full size of basically any standard US document, you can't. You could scan at a larger size and manually crop to get the length, but that isn't practical and you still don't get the width. I checked online for the full specifications and buried deep it says the scanner only scans to 8.26 inches! Maybe they only designed it to A4 width size (8.3 in) and to save money didn't make it capable to go the full width of US letter. Regardless, to not be able to scan the full length should just be a software change should be included. For some reason they don't enable a "borderless" scan.

OK printer for the money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my second printer (same model). Works great if you hardwire it. Wireless worked for a week and then lost its ability to wake up from sleep mode. Hardwired it and will now wake up as expected and print from any of our devices. Not sure I would recommend enthusiastically.

Customer/Warranty Service Failed 20 Year Customer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had a premature drum unit failure at about 6000 page duty cycle. E-mailed warranty request to Brother. Claim denied. Unit is just 10 months old. Sent following response to claim denial: "I am sorry to hear of the inability to address my issue. At time of purchase I thought that I had a one year warranty. My drum unit certainly has not reached the 18000 page duty cycle or anything close. So I am not sure if I have a defective drum unit or because this was a direct Brother purchase of a certified refurbished unit that this is why I had a problem because it appeared previously. I have been a customer of Brother products for both home and office for about 20 years because of unit quality, ease of operation and maintenance, dependability, output quality, features, and minimal connectivity and set up issues with my Apple ecosystem. I have recommended Brother printers to friends and clients with the last referral just 3 months ago. Of course, this recent drum issue with my primary printer is most disappointing. I understand your response. However, in similar past circumstances where a product or service or retail establishment or eatery upon which I have come to rely over the years begins to rest on laurels leading to a slip in quality when an issue arises it forces me to consider alternatives that I would not have otherwise explored because of past satisfaction. I consider those moments as karmic suggesting that I move on or in another direction. So, yes, the 90 day drum warranty and what I consider to be an extremely short cycle life that just occurred, and who is to say that with my next Brother drum unit it will not happen again based on what I just experienced, I am now exploring other AIO color laser printer options and my enthusiasm to recommend Brother products to others in the future will include the reason why I reluctantly left the Brother family." Brother responded today to thank me for input and continuing to be a customer. Totally tone deaf.

Beware toner costs.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent printer/ scanner but Brother seems to have purposely made it impossible to use 3rd party toner cartridges. The Brother high capacity cartridges cost ~$300 per complete set, which has to be considered before buying this. Note: it used to work with 3rd party cartridges, but recently stopped recognizing them (perhaps a software change?). Tech support won’t even try to help until you first buy all genuine Brother cartridges.
