Set-up was easy. Networking was easy. Super clear copies from anywhere in my house, off any of my devices. I love it. I use it mostly for legal work, so I print a ton of large documents and I scan a lot of documents. I’ll never buy another inkjet. So far, it has worked flawlessly, and I’ve gone thru about 12 reams of paper in 5 days with it.

Been HP users for many, many years, so was a bit reluctant to try a Brother, but after a few weeks of use, would recommend it. Fairly easy to set up, although you'll need to download a true user's manual for more in-depth info on full capabilities and available, helpful settings. Wish there was a bit more metal than plastic (such as on fold-out tray for large paper), but that's common with most printers in this class. Good print quality. Expected to need to buy toner cartridges after just a few days of testing, but the ones that come with it seem to be full capacity and there's a good viewable graphic of the toner status. Planning to buy an optional paper tray for legal paper now too.

I was tired of replacing ink cartridges on ink jet printers for home use so finally invested into a much better printer. Scanning, printing, copying, and email functionality is perfect. Quality of print jobs also is greatly improved over typical ink jet printers.

My office staff and myself are quite happy with this upgrade. The machine is super fast printing and scanning. I use my printers all day and this is saving us time because it is so fast. So far, I have not been disappointed in any part of this printer.

I am using this for my home office. Excellent scanning and copying. Prior to this I had an HP that kept requiring restarts. Got tired of doing so. This Brother is reliable and I’m very satisfied with my increased productivity

This is a fantastic printer. The most inexpensive I found with this high of quality when it comes to consumables. It takes a little longer than some to recieve the information wirelessly, but when you get this kind of fantastic quality, who cares really. You won't regret this decision.

Very large for a home office printer but it is well built of quality materials, seemed much better than other brands when I was reviewing in store. The scan to email is a great feature and the whole system was easily set up on my home WiFi in just a matter of minutes. Prints great but seems slower than the advertised rate for both color and B/W prints. First page print from a cold start is fast for a laser printer. I haven’t had to buy new cartridges yet but that was part of my research...less cost to replace than other brands and high page count till empty. I’d definitely recommend this printer.

I have had this printer for a few weeks now and it does a much better job than my inkjet and of course, no more runny ink issues! Color pictures come out nice, and it prints much faster than my old printer. I only used the manual feed once and I had some trouble with it, but I think that was mostly learning curve on my part. Once I figured out you had to go into the settings on the printer, I was able to get it working. That could be easier in my opinion, but I won't use that feature too frequently anyway. Overall a great printer!

Replaced a MFC-8850cdw. The are both great printers. Older one was easier to connect to network, but once finally connected it is fast. Great color. Scan to USB is faster than previous. Overall great printer.

This is my first Brother product so I was a bit squeamish. It was a bit daunting setting up, but this printer does so much more than our previous printer. We are 4 people with often as many as 6-7 printing on this machine and with all it's features it's hands down been a great investment.

I truly love this printer. It works great and the ink lasts a VERY long time. I used to have to replace cartridges oh my previous printer quite often and they're so expensive! I also discovered that I could buy "off brand" refills for this printer on Amazon for so much less than the Brother refills are. And so far they've always worked great. Now, my only issue is that after a good year without any problems, it now constantly loses connection with my computer. I'd have to get behind the cabinet it sits on and unplug it and plug it back in. CONSTANTLY! That was not an easy task. I was getting very frustrated, and have no idea why this started happening. But I found a bandaid for the situation, I bought a cheap smart plug from Amazon and whenever I need the printer I use to app (or ask Alexa) to disconnect the power and reconnect it. It's still a pain, but not like it was, and it works great.

I have used Brother printers for a long time. They hold up and are a great value. The only reason I replaced my other Brother MFC (from 2008) printer was because of an MS Win 10 upgrade that won't let the computer scan. I only wish that the paper trays would take envelopes. I did buy an additional paper tray so I am stocked with legal and letter sizes. The trays are very pricy, too pricy. Over all I am satisfied.

I have only used this item for a few weeks for a little scanning and copying. This is my first time using a scanner (hard to believe, right? :-) and that's a real convenience. Haven't started printing on it yet because I am using up the toner on my old printer. But so far it seems to be working fine. I had someone else set it up, and that seemed to go fairly easily. I like having the 8.5" x 14" capabilities for copying, but I miss the 11" x 17" ability on my 20-year old free-standing copier tht finally died.

This is a GREAT printer! Used for a church office with 12 employees. Quality for B&W is outstanding. Scanner is one of the best I've ever seen and easiest to operate. Even the fax works flawlessly. I used lots for different paper sizes -- printing certificates, cards & invoices -- and that works great too. Even looks classy! I did my homework; really checked out the competition and this is the best you're going to get for you money.
