    Not much ink in new cartridge

    Even though this was supposed to be the Brother-made, high-yield ink cartridge, right from the start my computer started telling me I was low on ink, and the ink is not very dark. Best Buy said they will not accept returns on this, even right after the purchase. I don't know whether to blame the cartridge or the printer; I am unhappy with the purchase. I will just get by with poor quality print til I figure out what to do.

    Sub-Standard Toner Cartridge capacity

    Bought this ink toner cartridge appx 5 months ago and I do not print alot. It is already out of ink, suppose to print 2600 pages and I have not used even 2 reams of paper and this was the extra ink toner cartridge for the printer. Do not appreciate this incremental ink expense, even though the printer works well. Previously had an HP Laser printer and it printed forever on a single toner cartridge, more like 18 months, so this is a disappointment.

    Had to take it apart to reset toner

    Upon installing still had a toner empty alarm. Found on YouTube a how to removed a gear to reset the toner empty sensor. This is not something a everyday user should have to do, I'm a retired IT professional so it was a easy thing for me to do.

    Toner doesn't last as long as claimed, you can shake it up and get a few more but not as many as claimed.
