Not sure if the cartridge prints as many copies as advertised, however, it does last a long time and it is definitely worth purchasing the higher-yield cartridge.

great value for price

If you just want black and white and don't want to replace ink all the time, I recommend Brother laser jet products. Also love that they reuse components and will give you a shipping label to send those back so they don't end up in a landfill.

Easy load and change out

This toner cartridge is the easiest I have had to replace since we had a home printer. I put the larger capacity because my wife is a teacher and needs to produce many documents on a regular basis. And the manufacturer provides a way to return the used cartridge at no cost, so it is environmentally sound as well.

Should last a long time

I am expecting this one to not need replacing for quite some time. Tip - switch the printer to "continuous" and it won't try to make you replace it long before it is really empty.
